The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diggler checks a leg kick nicely.
Diggler wants to slow McCready down by chopping away at his legs.
McCready feints and then cracks Diggler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Diggler down.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McCready lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Diggler has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Diggler and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Diggler throws a leg kick but McCready sees it coming and moves out of range.
Diggler lands a leg kick that knocks McCready off balance momentarily.
McCready has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Diggler definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
McCready walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Diggler lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
McCready throws a leg kick that is checked
and Diggler counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Diggler buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diggler is looking to chop away at McCready's legs.
McCready throws a body punch but Diggler moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - McCready looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Diggler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dirk Diggler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCready chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Some bone on bone action there as McCready checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
The fight stays on the outside here - McCready looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Diggler throws a sloppy head kick and McCready moves out of range easily.

Diggler lands a left and a right that send McCready crashing to the mat, dazed. Diggler thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

McCready is rocked!

It looks like Declan McCready has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Diggler ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking McCready out cold! The fight is over!

Dirk Diggler decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

Oooooh!!! Nicklaus has knocked Koski down with a huge combo! Nicklaus steps away and waves a wobbly Koski back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Tomi Koski has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nicklaus tries a head kick but it misses.
Nicklaus pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nicklaus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Koski manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nicklaus throws a hook to the side of Koski's head but Koski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nicklaus wants to clinch up but Koski keeps it at a distance.
Koski slips under a jab from Nicklaus.

Nicklaus has Koski up against the cage in a clinch.
Nicklaus is trying to push Koski away but Koski has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nicklaus prevents a body shot from Koski.
Nicklaus lands with a left to the head.
Koski misses with a hook to the ribs.
Koski swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Nicklaus throws a punch but it's blocked by Koski.
Nicklaus misses with a short punch on the inside.

Nicklaus misses with a hook from the clinch.
Koski lands with a short shot to the head.
Nicklaus misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Koski.
Koski tries to land knees in the clinch but Nicklaus avoids the damage to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Bob misses.
Bob takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Complex connects with a body shot.
Complex has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Napoleon Complex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob misses with a combination
and Complex finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Complex throws a quick inside leg kick.
Complex changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bob tries to avoid it but Complex manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bob to the ground. Bob escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Complex clobbers Bob with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Complex closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Complex connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Bob some visible discomfort.
Bob regains half guard, as Complex was trying to land strikes.
Bob trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Complex manages to pass to mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Complex.

Complex moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bob has worked his arm free - good work by Bob!
Complex tries to move to mount but Bob blocks the move with his legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Complex working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Complex is working to tighten his grip on Bob's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Bob has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Complex is really squeezing tight and eventually Bob passes out! Complex breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Napoleon Complex!
