Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joe Gallo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Master Chuin!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gallo pinned against the cage. Gallo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gallo stuffs the takedown.
Gallo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chuin.
Gallo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chuin moves away.
Gallo slaps away a takedown attempt from Chuin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Joe Gallo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Master Chuin.
Gallo misses with a double jab
and Chuin counters with a head kick. That will keep Gallo thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Chuin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gallo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chuin.

Chuin is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Gallo to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Chuin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gallo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chuin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gallo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Chuin.

Slinga pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Quela was done - good stoppage!
