The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mask misses with a body kick. Sonnen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sonnen there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Ryan Sonnen has been cut. Mask looking to score a takedown here. Sonnen is defending well but Mask drives through and ends up in Sonnen's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Mask works over Sonnen with some ground and pound from guard. Mask throws a big elbow that misses. Mask throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mask with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. That's three minutes gone in the round. Mask is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sonnen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sonnen's back! Mask is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Sonnen. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Can Sonnen hold on?! Mask is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sonnen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Mask is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Sonnen is defending well though. Mask let's go of the attempt for now. Mask missing with strikes from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tiger Mask dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ryan Sonnen's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A big left from Sonnen misses. Mask fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Sonnen misses with a hook to the body
and Mask counters with a low kick, right behind Sonnen 's knee. Sonnen misses with an uppercut. Sonnen slaps away a takedown attempt from Mask, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sonnen thows a body shot but no joy. Good leg kick by Mask there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sonnen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Mask throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sonnen lands with a good body shot. Sonnen throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mask throws a hook to the side of Sonnen's head but Sonnen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Mask counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mask. Mask stands up over Sonnen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mask accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mask working some strikes from top position. Mask missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Sonnen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mask. Mask is looking to work some ground and pound but Sonnen has wrist control. Mask throwing strikes but missing.

Mask throws a big right hand that misses. Mask postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sonnen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sonnen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mask to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sonnen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mask pulls down on the head and he's put Sonnen to sleep! This one is all over!

De Noteboom circles away from the clinch attempt and De Noteboom counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jawo keeping full guard, as De Noteboom tries to pass. De Noteboom pushing down on Jawo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jawo is trying to maintain the position but De Noteboom is very close to passing his half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lao lands with an overhand left. A jab from Lao does it's job there. Pejovsky drops his hands momentarily and Lao takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lao fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pejovsky has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
And that's the end of the fight! Kung Lao comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lao has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Proudstar throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shillings lands a jab to Proudstar's midsection. Stack Shillings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shillings throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Proudstar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Shillings fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Proudstar manages to avoid it. Shillings misses with a body shot
enabling Proudstar to counter with a crisp jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shillings ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Proudstar moves away. Proudstar blocks the body kick.
Shillings uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Proudstar. Shillings throws a nice outside leg kick. Proudstar scores with a crisp jab that stopped Shillings in his tracks. Decent striking displayed by Shillings there.
It looks like James Proudstar has been cut. Proudstar fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Shillings is out of range. Proudstar looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Shillings throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Proudstar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Shillings misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Proudstar counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Proudstar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Shillings throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shillings tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A thudding body kick lands there by Shillings!
Shillings fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Nice body punch from Shillings. Proudstar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shillings circles away. Shillings connects with a leg kick. Proudstar looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Proudstar is breathing heavily. Shillings throws a quick inside leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shillings ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Shillings lands a nice shot to the body.
Shillings goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Shillings looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Shillings digs a good body shot into Proudstar's ribs. Shillings feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Proudstars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Shillings - that's a beauty! Proudstar is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Shillings can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Stack Shillings decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
