The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson moves into the clinch.

Bate Bate throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.

Bate Bate has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

Bate Bate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Johnson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Johnson tries for a kimura but Bate Bate is defending well.

Bate Bate drives through with a takedown into Johnson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Bate Bate has Johnson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bate Bate prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bate Bate is trying to break the clinch but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.
Bate Bate is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bate Bate down to the mat. Bate Bate avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bate Bate pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Johnson throws a looping overhand right but Bate Bate ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Bate Bate lands an impressive looking overhand right. Johnson doesn't seem phased though.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bate Bate.
Bate Bate goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Johnson is rocked!
Bate Bate throws a front kick that sends Johnson stumbling back into the cage.
Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Bate Bate knocks Johnson out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dogg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kucelj pinned against the cage. Kucelj gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kucelj drives through with a takedown into Dogg's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Kucelj has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dogg to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Kucelj is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dogg pulls down on the head and he's put Kucelj to sleep! This one is all over!

BAM! Huey delivers a spinning backfist that drops Convents like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Ferguson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lock can pounce on him.

Rumble feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

John Howard really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sex Panther! (160q recovery $149) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

and Maria counters with a huge head kick that drops Aerts! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!
