The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cherry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morrison sprawls well initially but Cherry persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We've been informed that Khan has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Padilla cracks Onizuka with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Onizuka tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Padilla pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Onizuka is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Gaskins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Norris has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
