Drakkar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lawson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Drakkar thows a left - swing and a miss!
Drakkar uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lawson.
Drakkar swings for the body but Lawson moves out of range.
Drakkar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lawson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lawson dives in and scores a takedown into Drakkar's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drakkar wants to stand up but Lawson is controlling him.
Drakkar controls Lawson momentarily but Lawson frees himself.

The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Drakkar, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
