Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdul Raziq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Crazy Train. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mario Gomez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdul Raziq! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomez looks to throw the jab but Raziq is out of range. Raziq tries for a takedown but Gomez circles away easily and Gomez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Raziq is trying to stand up here but Gomez is controlling him well. Gomez is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raziq can do anything to dispel that myth. Raziq wants to get back to his feet.
Gomez takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Mario Gomez wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Gomez - that will leave a mark!
Raziq fails with the takedown and Gomez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Raziq's guard. Gomez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Raziq's guard. Gomez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Raziq tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gomez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson takes a swing at Malone's ribcage but misses. Anderson throws a big shot that misses. Anderson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Malone shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Anderson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Malone. Anderson keeping moving, preventing Malone from controlling successfully. Malone looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Anderson pulls Malone in to control the position. Malone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Anderson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Malone! Malone tries to hold on but Anderson pushes him away.

It looks like Josh Malone has been cut. Malone is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. BOOM! Anderson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That has opened up Josh Malone's cut even more. Malone wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyoraku wants to land a leg kick but Trifu is out of range. Kyoraku avoids the head kick by Trifu.
Trifu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kyoraku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Trifu. That did some damage! Trifu misses with a wild combination.
Kyoraku lands a leg kick that knocks Trifu off balance momentarily. Trifu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kyoraku moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Trifu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Trifu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Trifu throws a hook but Kyoraku avoids it easily. A jab lands there for Trifu. Kyoraku throws a low kick, looking for Trifu's leg but Trifu calmly moves out of range. Trifu avoids the body shot from Kyoraku.
Kyoraku checks a leg kick nicely. A left lands for Trifu. A low kick from Kyoraku misses and Trifu counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kyoraku's knee momentarily. Kyoraku pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A punch lands to the side of Trifu 's head but he takes it in his stride. Kyoraku fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Trifu is out of range.

Kyoraku checks a leg kick. Trifu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kyoraku moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kyoraku throws a nice outside leg kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kyoraku.
Kyoraku gets in close and instigates a clinch. Trifu tries to break free but Kyoraku pushes him back against the cage. Kyoraku lands a body punch in the clinch. Trifu prevents a body shot from Kyoraku. Kyoraku tries to work over Trifu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kyoraku lands a body shot in the clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kyoraku tries to work over Trifu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Trifu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Trifu walks into a jab. That kick from Trifu tenderised Kyoraku's leg. Kyoraku is trying to keep his angry face on. Trifu moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A combination from Kyoraku does no damage. Trifu lands a leg kick that knocks Kyoraku off balance momentarily. Trifu tries to bum rush Kyoraku with a series of wild strikes but Kyoraku uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Trifu swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kyoraku. Kyoraku throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyoraku is looking to land body kicks. Kyoraku throws a front kick that sends Trifu stumbling back into the cage. Kyoraku swings for the body but Trifu moves out of range.
Trifu scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. A head kick misses from Kyoraku. Trifu misses with a series of wild punches.
Kyoraku lands with a cross. Trifu's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kyoraku connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Trifu scrambles back to his feet. Trifu takes the fight into the clinch. Kyoraku makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Kyoraku keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Trifu's efforts to push away. Trifu throws a punch but it's blocked by Kyoraku. Trifu throws a head punch that misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Trifu throws a head punch that misses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Trifu breaks from the clinch.
Trifu tries to clinch but Kyoraku moves out of range. Good exchange - Kyoraku coming out on top.
Trifu is rocked! Kyoraku sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Trifu's defenses. It connects perfectly with Trifu's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shunsui Kyoraku! Shunsui Kyoraku seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. The defeated Flavius Trifu had this to say: 'Sorry boss. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from Cooter tenderised Holyfield's leg. Holyfield is trying to keep his angry face on. Cooter blocks a jab. Holyfield throws a right hand that Cooter ducks under and follows up with a left that Cooter also avoids with ease. Cooter takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Holyfield is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cooter. Holyfield smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Holyfield blocks a low kick nicely. Cooter keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Cooter cracks Holyfield with an open hand slap. Holyfield lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Holyfield swings widly with a right hand
and Cooter counters with a nice double leg into guard. Cooter throws a big elbow that misses. Holyfield working for a triangle but Cooter defends it easily.
Cooter wants to pass the guard but Holyfield is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holyfield is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cooter is controlling him. Cooter trying to control but Holyfield is working from the bottom. Cooter tries to free his leg and advance position but Holyfield is retaining full guard. Holyfield pulls Cooter in close to prevent any damage.
Evander Holyfield has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Holyfield lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. We've been told by Holyfield's head coaches at BLKOUT Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cooter checks a leg kick nicely. Holyfield feints a jab promting Cooter to slip. Holyfield then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cooter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Holyfield takes a swing at Cooter's ribcage but misses. Cooter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Holyfield. Holyfield misses with a few strikes there.
Holyfield throws a looping overhand right but Cooter ducks down to avoid it. Cooter throws a half hearted mid kick. Holyfield throws a nice looking combination but Cooter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Holyfield misses with a wild combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Holyfield misses with a hook
and Cooter counters by moving into the clinch. Holyfield escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Cooter counters with a takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Holyfield is not content to let Cooter control the position. Holyfield sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Holyfield tries to roll over but Cooter keeps him under control. Holyfield is working hard here to advance position. Holyfield is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cooter scores with a couple of nice shots. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Cooter looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cooter connects with a nice short shot to Holyfield's temple. Nice strikes from Cooter there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Evander Holyfield will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cooter fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Holyfield has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Holyfield throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Holyfield uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Cooter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Holyfield. Holyfield ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooter moves away. Holyfield misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Holyfield. That did some damage! Holyfield rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cooter counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cooter. Cooter tries for a takedown. No joy.

Evander Holyfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randal Cooter. Holyfield wants to get back to striking at distance but Cooter won't allow it.
Holyfield is pressed up against the cage. Cooter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Holyfield down to the mat. Holyfield avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Cooter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Holyfield is out of range and Cooter settles back down. Holyfield throws a jab when Cooter was well out of range.

Cooter has Holyfield pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Holyfield manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Holyfield breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Holyfield swings for the body but Cooter moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Cooter tries to work over Holyfield's front leg with a kick but Holyfield checks it. Cooter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Holyfield feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cooters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A combination from Holyfield does no damage. Holyfield looks to land a combination but Cooter avoids it well. Holyfield checks a leg kick. Holyfield throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cooter sees it coming and avoids it easily. Holyfield thows a body shot but no joy. Cooter dodges the punch combination from Holyfield.

and Cooter counters with a shoot takedown. Holyfield fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cooter with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Holyfield looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Cooter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cooter looking to sit in guard and control but Holyfield gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Holyfield wants to control but Cooter postures up. Evander Holyfield is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Holyfield stops Cooter from passing to mount. Cooter tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Cooter throws a strike aimed at the side of Holyfield's head but Holyfield avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holyfield is working to avoid the ground and pound but Cooter connects with a decent elbow. Holyfield is not content to let Cooter control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cooter working the ground and pound.

Zedong is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Toke cracks Zedong with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Zedong looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Toke finish him?

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Habana thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. That was a close round but I would say that Bryan Habana will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ward preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ward throws a hook to the side of Teitsi's head but Teitsi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. After the fight, Matti Teitsi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
