The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mayhem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mayhem tries to clinch but fails miserably and Lightning holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Lightning working hard to break the clinch. Mayhem lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Fists Lightning has been cut. Mayhem lands a shoulder strike. Mayhem blocking some punches.

Mayhem gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Lightning gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Mayhem is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

A very excited looking Fists Lightning made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Handly lunges at Kerjalainen with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kerjalainen's hand. Handly shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kerjalainen as he avoids it easily. Handly tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kerjalainen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kerjalainen lands a nice shot to the body.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rei misses with a body kick. Decent striking displayed by Rei there. Fortunado tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rei manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Fortunado bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
