Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Geoly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Something in the Way by Nirvana. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronnie Wayne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 12 - 5, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexander Geoly! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geoly jabs at Wayne's body. Geoly fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wayne has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Geoly avoids the body shot from Wayne.
Geoly is looking to land body kicks. Wayne lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Geoly is looking to slow Wayne down with leg kicks. A solid body kick from Geoly. Wayne turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wayne keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Geoly. Wayne scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Geoly fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wayne. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Geoly cracks the inside of Wayne's front leg. Geoly feints and then cracks Wayne's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wayne down. Geoly closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Geoly has control of an arm but Wayne manages to advance to Geoly's back! I really don't envy Geoly right now.

Wayne pulls Geoly in close to his closed guard and prevents Geoly from doing any damage or advancing position. Geoly wants to control from the top but Wayne keeps moving. Wayne is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Geoly is aware though and is defending well. Wayne is looking to sweep but instead, Geoly has passed into half guard.
Wayne wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Geoly controlling the pace. Wayne trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Wayne is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Geoly throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

A cross from Wayne lands. Geoly shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Geoly was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Geoly working away. Wayne is looking to regain half guard here but Geoly keeps moving and retains side control. Wayne looking for a sweep but Geoly has passed into full mount! Oh no! Geoly landing shots from mount.

A control attempt from Wayne but he's now mounted! Geoly content just to control the position here. Geoly pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Geoly tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wayne tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wayne tries to hold on but Geoly postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Geoly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Wayne misses with a low kick as Geoly jumps back. A kick lands to the mid section there for Wayne. Geoly defending well as Wayne loads up on a big left hand. Geoly lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Wayne throws a jab when Geoly was well out of range. Wayne thows a body shot but no joy. Geoly takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wayne misses with a hook. Geoly ducked under it nicely. A big right from Wayne misses. Wayne lands with a right hand. The crowd cheers as Geoly lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wayne doesn't seem phased though. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wayne moves forwards but Geoly connects with a nice, crisp jab. Geoly checks the leg kick nicely there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Geoly blocks a jab. Geoly is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Wayne staying out of range there. A slapping leg kick lands for Geoly.

Alexander Geoly is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Geoly's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Wayne is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Geoly comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Geoly has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Kayani wants to take the fight to the mat but Nelson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Nelson has a couple of punches blocked by Kayani.

He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Byron Nelson has got the better of the ground game so far. Kayani tries to get to full guard but Nelson has control of the leg. Nelson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kayani has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nelson is working away from the top position though. Nelson is trying to control the action in half guard but Kayani is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luvi fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Magri checks it well. Magri ducks under a wild hook from Luvi. A cross from Magri lands. We've been told by Magri's head coaches at gym closing that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Luvi avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Charlie Magri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Magri digs a good body shot into Luvi's ribs. Luvi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Luvi lands with a cross. Magri misses with a looping right. Magri swings for the body but Luvi moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Magri throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Luvi sees it coming and avoids it easily. Luvi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Magri is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Luvi. Magri fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Luvi manages to avoid it. Zeynalabdinov goes for a double leg but Denke avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Denke continues to drive forward. Zeynalabdinov has been working on his balance at Men of Mayhem (1 TPL, 6 DBL, 5 SGL)(55 member cap), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Denke. Denke struggles to land a body shot inside as Zeynalabdinov controls his hands.

Zeynalabdinov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Denke seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Denke trying to control the position from guard on top but Zeynalabdinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Zeynalabdinov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Denke is one step ahead there. Denke has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Zeynalabdinov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Denke is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Zeynalabdinov pulls down on the head and he's put Denke to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punani avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Punani moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Punani misses with a head kick.
