I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rafael Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore ducks under a wild hook from Windu.

Windu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Moore counters with a nice uppercut.
Moore throws a front kick aimed at Windu's knee but Windu avoids it well.
Windu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Windu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Moore uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Windu tries to clinch there but Moore circles away.

Windu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Moore crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Windu - the referee stops the clock and Moore gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Windu. Moore manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Shimazu throws a hook to the side of Hara's head but Hara sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shimazu tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Shimazu moves to clinch but Hara breaks away
and Hara cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hara tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shimazu defends well and Hara ends up having to push Shimazu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hara has his foot on Shimazu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shimazu works his way back into a safe position though.

Shimazu wants to work for an arm triangle but Hara is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hara has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shimazu is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hara.
