The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havilah shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Butkiss eats them both and turns towards Havilah to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Havilah tries to move into range but Butkiss moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Abiodun Havilah has been cut.
Havilah is looking to clinch but Butkiss is avoiding it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Butkiss just misses with a punch to the body.
Havilah moves in looking to clinch but Butkiss pushes him off.
Havilah has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Cave Fighting Team in the buildup to the fight.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eulalio Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cooper might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to s.mouse - slap my elbow. Gonzalez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. El party me llama kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
