2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Shlemenko! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shlemenko looking to score a takedown here. Bjj is defending well but Shlemenko drives through and ends up in Bjj's guard. Bjj looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Shlemenko passes into side control.
Bjj has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Shlemenko trying to control the position but Bjj is working away. You can see the frustration on Bjj's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bjj tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Shlemenko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Shlemenko wants to control but Bjj is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bjj is looking for a sweep. Bjj gets back to half guard. Bjj trying to control but Shlemenko postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bjj makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bjj. Shlemenko trying to control but Bjj is working from the bottom. Bjj has his feet on Shlemenko's thighs here. He's pushed Shlemenko off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Shlemenko screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malone misses with a body shot.
Malone forces Sin back against the cage and clinches. Malone softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Sin throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Malone has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Sin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Sin working aggressively here.

Sin seems to have recovered his senses. Malone lands an elbow just above Sin 's eye. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sin dodges an elbow strike from Malone.
Malone comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
That has opened up Tim Sin's cut even more.

He pushes Sin back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Malone throws a beautiful elbow that sends Sin crashing to the floor! Malone piles on the pressure with more strikes! Sin is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tio Malone! Tio Malone thanked the fans post fight for their support.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voss fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tupy avoids it really well and circles away. A jab from Tupy finds it's way through Voss's defenses.
It looks like Scott Voss has been cut. Tupy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Voss counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Tupy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Voss with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tupy is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Voss trying to control the position from guard on top but Tupy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tupy working a defensive guard but Voss manages to pass into side control anyway.
Tupy is trying to escape the position but Voss is controlling the position. Tupy is looking to regain half guard here but Voss keeps moving and retains side control. Tupy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Voss off and has taken his back! Voss looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Voss tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voss reaches up to try and control the position but Tupy seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Voss rolls and tries to escape and now Tupy has his back!

Voss is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at VENDETTA Elite Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Voss is trying to get back to his feet but Tupy has full control of the position and if anything, Voss has just worked his way into a worse spot. Tupy really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Voss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Voss manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tupy's guard. Nice work there by Voss.
Voss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Voss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tupy is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Voss is looking to work some ground and pound but Tupy has wrist control. Voss wants to pass the guard but Tupy is keeping the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tupy looking to control.
Tupy pulls Voss in to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tim Tupy will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Scott Voss's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Voss shoots in and drives through. Tupy sprawls well. Tupy ducks under a wild hook from Voss. Voss cracks Tupy with a good jab. Tupy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Voss momentarily.
Tupy misses with a straight right. Tupy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Tupy catches Voss with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Tupy misses with a body shot.
Voss dives in and grabs Tupy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tupy pushes down on Voss's head and hops out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tupy lands a left and a right that send Voss crashing to the mat, dazed. Tupy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! Tupy scores with a jab. Voss acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Scott Voss's cut is getting worse. A nice leg kick lands there from Tupy. Tupy throws a leg kick which misses Voss's front leg but catches the back leg as Voss tries to avoid it. Scott Voss is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice uppercut there from Tupy.
Scott Voss's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Tupy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Voss. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Voss. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tupy scores with a shot to the body.
Tupy tests Voss's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tupy walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Voss drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Tupy swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Voss's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Tupy! Tim Tupy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

We've been told by Davies's head coaches at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $350 fee) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Davies rushes Touite and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Davies is trying to push Touite away but Touite has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Davies trying to land knees to the body.
Davies misses with a hook to the ribs.
Davies lands on the inside with an uppercut. Davies lands a body punch in the clinch. Davies breaks from the clinch.
Davies scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Davies stops Touite from getting back to his feet.
Davies is nestled in close to Touite, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Touite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davies. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Davies lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Davies seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palmer misses with a wild body shot. Carney slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Carney uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Palmer. Carney blocks the body kick.
Palmer takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Palmer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Palmer misses with a takedown attempt and Carney counters with a right hand to the body. Carney shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Palmer pinned against the cage. Palmer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Left hook, right uppercut from Carney. Palmer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Carney is fending him off so far but Palmer persists. Nope, Carney circles away and we're back to standing. Carney shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Palmer napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carney tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carney has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Carney looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Palmer is avoiding damage well.

Carney misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carney working the body and head with strikes. Carney is looking to take a break and control but Palmer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carney works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Carney misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Carney working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Who's going to make the next move? The strikes coming from Carney are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Carney wants to take a breather but Palmer manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Carney. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Palmer has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Carney throws a big right hand that misses. Carney loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Palmer wants to stand and escape but Carney is having none of it. Carney throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Carney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Palmer's waist but Palmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carney off to one side. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Palmer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carney. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodney Carney. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carney blocks a head kick by Palmer.

Carney is looking to improve his position.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Palmer won't allow Carney to sweep him here. Palmer is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Carney has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Palmer is looking to defend but Carney has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Palmer! Carney pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Palmer taps out and this one is all over!

Gordon has Clark pressed against the cage. He pushes Clark back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Gordon throws a beautiful elbow that sends Clark crashing to the floor! Gordon piles on the pressure with more strikes! Clark is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Flash Gordon! Flash Gordon is the new bantamweight champion! A relieved looking Flash Gordon thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
