Redfield kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Believers . 34 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaarlo Vihtala! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vihtala digs a good hook to Redfield's body.
Vihtala slips a jab and a cross from Redfield.
Redfield takes a jab right on the kisser.
That kick from Redfield tenderised Vihtala's leg. Vihtala is trying to keep his angry face on. Vihtala stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Redfield. Vihtala fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Redfield takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vihtala loads up on a big right hand but Redfield slips the punch. It looked like Redfield was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Redfield on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vihtala. Vihtala obviously looking to wear him down.
Redfield throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vihtala throws out a powerful jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vihtala walks into a left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redfield looks to land a combination but Vihtala avoids it well. Vihtala tries to move into range but Redfield moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Kaarlo Vihtala has been cut. Redfield misses with a left hand and Vihtala counters with an inside leg kick. Redfield fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vihtala sprawls well initially but Redfield persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Redfield prevents Vihtala from improving his position. Redfield throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Vihtala trying to control here.
Redfield stalling away here and it's allowed Vihtala to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Vihtala preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vihtala trying to keep a closed guard but Redfield is proving a slippery customer.
Vihtala had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Redfield defends it easily. Vihtala looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Redfield throwing strikes but missing. Redfield trying to control but Vihtala is working from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vihtala is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Redfield scoring with some ground and pound. Redfield postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Redfield trying to control the position from guard on top but Vihtala is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vihtala working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Redfield doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Redfield manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Redfield tries to free his leg and advance position but Vihtala is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vihtala keeping moving, preventing Redfield from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Redfield shoots for a takedown but Vihtala saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Redfield ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Vihtala misses the jab. Vihtala throws out a loose jab but Redfield uses good head movement to avoid it. Vihtala throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Redfield gets a double leg takedown into Vihtala's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Redfield accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Redfield working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters circling - Redfield throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A low kick from Vihtala is predictable there and Redfield counters with a takedown into side control. Redfield tries to score with some ground and pound. Vihtala controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Vihtala looking for a sweep but Redfield has passed into full mount! Oh no! Chris Redfield overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vihtala is looking to get to half guard. Redfield has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vihtala in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That has opened up Kaarlo Vihtala's cut even more. Redfield in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The cut above Kaarlo Vihtala's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Redfield lands a big shot to the head and Vihtala winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

A very excited looking Chris Redfield made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards throws a hook but Lebowski avoids it easily. Some bone on bone action there as Edwards checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Lebowski works the jab nicely. Lebowski misses with a head kick.
And Edwards tries to counter it with a takedown but Lebowski pushes his down on his head and steps out. Lebowski catches Edwards with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Blake Edwards has been cut. Lebowski throws a sloppy head kick and Edwards moves out of range easily. Lebowski tries to bum rush Edwards with a series of wild strikes but Edwards uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice uppercut lands for Edwards. That snapped Lebowski's head back.
It looks like Jeffrey Lebowski has been cut. Edwards is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lebowski sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Edwards needs to keep his hands up - Lebowski had a free shot at his head there. Lebowski connects with a leg kick. Edwards looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Lebowski works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lebowski tries to land a front kick but Edwards steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Edwards gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Lebowski is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Edwards closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lebowski did well to prevent Edwards getting side control. Lebowski wants to improve his position but Edwards is controlling well.

Edwards is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lebowski is looking to control Edwards's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lebowski avoid being mounted? Edwards wants to take a breather but Lebowski is having none of it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Lebowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lebowski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Edwards has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Edwards checks a leg kick. Lebowski takes a swing at Edwards's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lebowski connects with an inside leg kick. Edwards digs a good body shot into Lebowski's ribs. Lebowski misses with an uppercut. Lebowski misses the jab. Lebowski pushes Edwards away with a front kick.

Edwards crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lebowski - the referee stops the clock and Edwards gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lebowski. Edwards manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Edwards with a jab. Edwards throws a jab when Lebowski was well out of range. Lebowski moves out of range as Edwards strikes. Lebowski looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Lebowski throws a head kick that misses. Lebowski works the jab nicely. Lebowski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Edwards's calf. Lebowski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Edwards avoids the head kick by Lebowski.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Avalon lands a nice looking body shot.
A lazy left from Avalon finds it's target. Avalon shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Daross eats them both and turns towards Avalon to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Hendrik Daross has been cut. Avalon getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Avalon lands a glancing blow to the side of Daross's head.
Daross is rocked! Daross lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Avalon backs up against the cage.

Nice defenses there by Thrym. Rubin cracks the inside of Thrym's front leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rubin with a lazy takedown attempt and Thrym counters with a stiff right hand. Rubin blocks a leg kick. Rubin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thrym appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Thrym's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Thrym parries the strikes from Rubin easily there. Rubin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Thrym to escape.
Rubin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rubin scoring with punches from side control. Thrym is looking for a sweep. Rubin tries to move into full mount but can't pass Thrym's legs. Rubin has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Thrym! Thrym tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rubin unloads with some shots from mount but Thrym bucks and avoids them well.

Thrym is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rubin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Rubin misses with a head shot. Rubin landing punches. Thrym wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rubin.
Thrym felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Rubin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thrym is looking to escape. Thrym is looking to improve his position but Rubin isn't that keen on the idea.

Rubin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rung Thrym showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rubin tries to advance to mount but Thrym denies him. Thrym on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Thrym tries to bench press Rubin off him but Rubin keeps the position. Rubin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Thrym is avoiding damage well.

Thrym must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

and Thrym connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rubin throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And Thrym responds with a good body kick, but Rubin manages to step out the way in time. Thrym connects with a solid leg kick.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Nelson lands a big shot there that rocks Justice but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Brodski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shakur chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brodski can pounce on him.

He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Uno gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Uno apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vice. That did some damage! Vice closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Vice misses with an uppercut. Carter attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Vice throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Carter.
It looks like Llewelyn Carter has been cut. A punch combination from Vice misses. Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Vice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Vice misses with a body shot.

It looks like Miami Vice has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vice lands with a right to the head. Vice breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vice is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Carter rather than just go for the knockout. Vice ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carter moves away. Vice throws a big shot that misses. Carter tries to counter by clinching up but Vice breaks away and moves out of range. Carter lands a nice hook to Vice's body. Vice takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Carter doesn't manage to clinch there - Vice circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vice avoids the body shot from Carter.

The fighters circle, before Carter throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Vice's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Carter lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
