The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Radev slips under a jab. Radev throws a body shot but no joy. Radev uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A telegraphed right hand from Taticzek misses the target. Radev slips a jab from Taticzek. Radev feinted with a counter takedown. Radev comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Radev lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Jab by Taticzek. Radev bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Taticzek! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Taticzek is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Radev content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Taticzek is still in real trouble! Can Radev finish him? Taticzek utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Taticzek seems to have recovered his senses. Radev with a nice head shot there. Radev trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Radev has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Radev stops Taticzek from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Radev throws an elbow that misses. Taticzek uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Radev's guard. Nice move by Taticzek! Radev can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Taticzek controls the pace. Taticzek preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Taticzek wants to stand but Radev is controlling his posture from full guard. Radev wants to sweep but no luck. Radev wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. It looks like Nikolai Radev has been cut. Radev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taticzek tries to avoid it but Radev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taticzek to the ground. Taticzek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Taticzek misses with a jab, cross combination.
Taticzek tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Radev attempts a counter takedown but Taticzek avoids it well and moves away. Radev lands a jab to the nose. Taticzek misses with a looping right. Radev works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Radev throws an off balance right hand
and Taticzek counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Taticzek throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Radev stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Taticzek cracks Radev with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Oooooh!!! Taticzek has knocked Radev down with a huge combo! Taticzek steps away and waves a wobbly Radev back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Radev is rocked! Nice body punch from Taticzek. Oh Radev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Radev lands a body shot.
Radev takes a shot right to the bread basket. Radev throws a body punch but Taticzek moves out of range. Radev seems to have got his legs back now. Taticzek throws an overhand right that drops Radev like a sack of potatoes! Taticzek dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Russo looks to score with a jab to the body but Fleury is just out of range. Fleury steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Russo. A solid leg kick lands there for Russo.

Fleury closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fleury lands in his opponent's guard. Fleury working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Fleury wants to pass the guard but Russo is keeping the position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Fleury working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Fleury landing some decent shots from guard. Russo is looking for a triangle but Fleury pushes his legs off easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Viacheslav Datsik will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
