The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Preuss throws a sloppy head kick and Leblanc moves out of range easily. Preuss throws a head kick that misses. Leblanc feinted with a counter takedown. Preuss swings for the body but Leblanc moves out of range.
Leblanc drops down looking for a counter takedown but Preuss sprawls and moves away. Leblanc shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Leblanc swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Preuss throws a head kick that misses. Leblanc appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Preuss throws a head kick but Leblanc moves out of range.
Leblanc throws a head kick that misses. Preuss tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Leblanc shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Preuss defends it nicely. Preuss misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Leblanc.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick from Preuss lands but Leblanc takes it in his stride.
It looks like Jean Paul Leblanc has been cut. Preuss lands with a kick to the temple. Leblanc shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Preuss displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Leblanc. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Paul Leblanc. That's going to take a lot out of him. Preuss misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Leblanc throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Preuss's waist but Preuss gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leblanc off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leblanc doesn't manage to clinch there - Preuss circles away.
Preuss goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Preuss throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Preuss tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Preuss throws a head kick but Leblanc moves out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Preuss has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Leblanc will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Preuss lands a head kick!

Leblanc shoots in but no luck this time. Preuss appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Preuss throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Leblanc shoots in and drives through. Preuss sprawls well. Leblanc is breathing heavily. Horrible takedown attempt by Leblanc or perhaps it was just good defense by Preuss, which made it look bad. Preuss lands a leg kick that knocks Leblanc off balance momentarily. Leblanc keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Preuss moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A big head kick from Preuss and Leblanc is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Leblanc is rocked!
Jean Paul Leblanc's cut is getting worse. Preuss would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Oh Leblanc is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Leblanc will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Preuss wants to stand and escape but instead Leblanc has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Leblanc seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leblanc won't allow Preuss to get back to his feet. Leblanc forces his way into half guard. Preuss looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Preuss is looking to get back to is feet but Leblanc passes into side control.
Preuss is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Leblanc is controlling him well. Preuss is looking to get back to his feet here but Leblanc is keeping cool and he's managed to take Preuss's back. Preuss is trying to stand back up. Preuss is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with Leblanc on his back. Leblanc looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! Preuss has to tap out to a very impressive submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hein on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sienly. Sienly obviously looking to wear him down.
Hein takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Hein gets a takedown into half guard. Hein tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sienly knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hein looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hein seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sienly does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hein is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sienly is doing well to control the position and prevent Hein from advancing to side control. Hein throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hein is keen to just control but Sienly is a slippery customer. Sienly tries to roll over but Hein keeps him under control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sienly has his hands clasped together around Hein's back. He's all about the action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sienly fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Hein throws a head kick that misses. Sienly fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hein just manages to avoid it. Sienly scoring well with a low kick there.
Sienly lands a jab to the nose. Hein closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hein looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sienly half committed to a counter leg kick. Jase Hein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hein tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Sienly thumps Hein with a low kick. Sienly with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hein doesn't manage to clinch there - Sienly circles away.
Hein fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sienly with a jab. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hein is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sienly uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hein has time to react. Sienly tests Hein's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hein will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sienly takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hein walks into a straight right hand from Sienly. Sienly lands with a cross. Hein with a lazy takedown attempt and Sienly makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Kristof Sienly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jase Hein. Hein looks winded! Sienly uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hein. Sienly swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Sienly darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Sienly scores with a nice right hand.
Sienly fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sienly lands a big head kick that sends Hein tumbling to the mat! Sienly takes a step backwards and waves Hein back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Hein is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hein is aggressively charging in as Sienly backs up avoiding any damage. Sienly tosses out a jab and Hein runs right into it face first! Hein is out cold! Sienly dropped down on all fours and is barking in Hein's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tucker has his takedown stuffed and Avecilla connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Avecilla stuffs the takedown attempt from Tucker. Tucker gets slowly back to his feet. Tucker tries to clinch up but Avecilla circles away and keeps his distance. Avecilla thumps Tucker with a low kick. Tucker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Avecilla. Avecilla throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Avecilla lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Avecilla tests Tucker's chin there with a solid looking shot. Avecilla connects with a crisp jab. Tucker misses with a takedown attempt - Avecilla sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Avecilla appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Nico Avecilla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Tucker. This has been an exciting period of action! Tucker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Avecilla is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Avecilla tries to land a leg kick but Tucker saw it coming and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tucker is defended easily by Avecilla. Tucker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Avecilla defends well and Tucker ends up having to push Avecilla into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Tucker shoots in for a double leg but Avecilla sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. It looked like Avecilla wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Avecilla lands a leg kick that knocks Tucker off balance momentarily. Tucker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A nice inside leg kick there by Avecilla. That's going to slow Tucker down. Nice jab there from Avecilla.
Tucker is rocked! Avecilla moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Tucker is still on wobbly legs! Can Avecilla finish him? Avecilla fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Tucker seems to have recovered his senses. Tucker gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Avecilla gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Tucker is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

A very excited looking Nico Avecilla made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

McGee lands a vicious elbow to the side of Scott's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! McGee tries to finish him with strikes but Scott still seems able to defend himself so McGee steps back and lets Scott get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game. McGee clinches with his opponent.
A nice glancing elbow lands by McGee. McGee throws 2 knees - Scott can't escape McGee's clinch. As Scott tries to escape again McGee whips his head left to meet with another knee! That's knocked out Scott's gum shield and as Scott falls to the floor, the referee steps in to end the fight!

Great finish!

McQuaid displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Richer. McQuaid throws a wild body kick that Richer sees coming a mile off. McQuaid scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Adam McQuaid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Richer fails with a takedown attempt from distance. McQuaid lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Richer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McQuaid is fending him off so far but Richer persists. Nope, McQuaid circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Richer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some wild striking there from McQuaid.
Richer drops down looking for a counter takedown but McQuaid sprawls and moves away. Richer drops his hands momentarily and McQuaid takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. McQuaid throws a lazy head kick and Richer counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Richer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McQuaid swivels though and keeps the full guard. Richer passes McQuaid's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richer is trying to control. McQuaid wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Richer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McQuaid is just riding it out for now. Richer eventually gives up the hold. Richer is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Richer thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McQuaid's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Richer is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McQuaid sees it coming and defends easily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Richer lands a nice short elbow. McQuaid wants to control but Richer is keeping busy and won't allow it. Richer working over McQuaid with some ground and pound. McQuaid looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Richer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Richer is looking for a kimura here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richer lands with a punch from half guard. Richer is working for a kimura but McQuaid is defending it quite comfortably.
Richer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McQuaid is just riding it out for now. Richer eventually gives up the hold. Richer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Richer wants to control but McQuaid is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Richer will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oh, that's unlucky for Richer but great work by McQuaid. Richer is trying to get back to half guard. McQuaid decides to stand up, so the ref orders Richer to his feet. Richer shoots in and gets a takedown into McQuaid's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richer looking to sit in guard and control but McQuaid gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Richer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McQuaid's guard. McQuaid wants to stand but Richer is controlling the position. McQuaid really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Richer trying to control the position from guard on top but McQuaid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Richer tries to free his leg and advance position but McQuaid is retaining full guard.

Richer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Richer stops McQuaid from standing up. Richer trying to control but McQuaid is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McQuaid is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A lazy left from McQuaid finds it's target. Richer doesn't succeed with the takedown and McQuaid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Richer has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McQuaid finds it's way round the side to connect with Richer's head. Richer staying out of range there. McQuaid has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Richer moves away from the strike by McQuaid. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McQuaid throws a series of punches but Richer moves out of range. McQuaid is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Richer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McQuaid is fending him off so far but Richer persists. Nope, McQuaid circles away and we're back to standing. Richer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Adam McQuaid. I think McQuaid has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

He's just covering up as Vasilev starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

After winning the bout, Adrik Vasilev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Fidel Brasto spoke after the fight, saying 'He was better then me today but I'll be back soon!!'.
