The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov lands the left hand.
Miyaichi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kozlov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kozlov misses with a looping left.
Kozlov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kozlov throws a lazy right hand but Miyaichi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Miyaichi swats away the attempt to clinch by Kozlov.
A slow jab from Kozlov misses its intended target.
Kozlov closes the distance looking to clinch
and Miyaichi counters with a straight right hand.

Kozlov throws a hook to the side of Miyaichi's head but Miyaichi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Miyaichi's coach down at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $425 fee) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Miyaichi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Ivan Kozlov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kozlov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Miyaichi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kozlov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kozlov lands a nice shot that snaps Miyaichi's head back.
Miyaichi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kozlov.

and Miyaichi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Miyaichi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kozlov swings widly with a right hand
and Miyaichi cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Kozlov is rocked!
Kozlov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Miyaichi.
Kozlov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miyaichi.
Miyaichi circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Kozlov to the canvas! Kozlov doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Miyaichi keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Mies's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mies seems to have recovered his senses.

Brandon throws a sloppy head kick and Mies moves out of range easily.
Mies throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mies looks to land a combination but Brandon avoids it well.
Mies scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Brandon doesn't seem bothered though.
Mies throws a powerful right kick. Brandon tried to block low but the kick was high! Brandon was taken right off of his feet! Mies jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Abdullah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like Fred Storm has been cut.

Cox lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cox has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The fighters circle, before Cox throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Storm's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Cox lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

During a confident post fight interview, Reuben Cox thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
