The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've been informed that Kruth has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kruth throws a front kick aimed at Willems's knee but Willems avoids it well.
Kruth slips a jab and a cross from Willems.
Willems throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Willems bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Willems misses with an uppercut. Kruth saw that one coming.
Kruth has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Willems.

Good leg kick by Kruth there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Oh Willems is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kruth is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Willems flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Willems is out cold! Kruth holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Lucania's corner calls for a 1-2. Lucania obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Lucania takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lucania lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lucania with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Oarsman to score with a decent uppercut.
Oarsman has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Death Valley Training Facility in the buildup to the fight.
