The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Jierdan Firkragg has been cut. Firkragg moves out of range of the strikes. Wilson is looking to slow Firkragg down with leg kicks. Wilson ducks under a wild hook from Firkragg. As Firkragg backs off Wilson throws a huge counter combo but Firkragg manages to avoid it all. Wilson blocks a jab. Firkragg uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Firkragg shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wilson counters with a nice body kick. Wilson's coach down at X Training Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wilson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Wilson staying out of range there. Firkragg misses with a leg kick. Firkragg misses with a hook. Wilson ducked under it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Firkragg takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Wilson slips a straight right by Firkragg. Wilson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A leg kick checked by Wilson. Wilson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Firkragg sprawling to the canvas! Firkragg rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Wilson finish him?!

Firkragg has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Main Event Gym in the buildup to the fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Firkragg defending well as Wilson loads up on a big left hand. Wilson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Wilson clobbers Firkragg with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. A momentary lapse in concentration from Wilson enables Firkragg to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wilson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wilson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Firkragg is out of range. Firkragg shoots in for a takedown but Wilson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wilson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Wilson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Firkragg throws out the jab. Firkragg shoots for a takedown but Wilson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sakamoto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cantor. Sakamoto scores with a kick to the body.

Cantor scores with a jab to the jaw. Cantor takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Good shot there by Sakamoto. Cantor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cantor shoots in looking for a takedown but Sakamoto manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cantor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yiftos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Simmons is fending him off so far but Yiftos persists. Nope, Simmons circles away and we're back to standing. A looping hook to the body misses from Simmons. Yiftos does a little dance to reset his feet. Simmons misses with a looping left. Yiftos lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Yiftos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Simmons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Simmons throws a right hand that Yiftos ducks under and follows up with a left that Yiftos also avoids with ease. Simmons waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Yiftos. Yiftos has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Yiftos there as he acknowledges the shot. Simmons connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Sisa Yiftos has been cut. Simmons looks to throw the jab but Yiftos is out of range. Yiftos with a lazy takedown attempt and Simmons counters with a left to the body. Simmons misses with a looping right. Yiftos tests Simmons's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like John Simmons has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Simmons clinches up with Yiftos and pushes him back against the cage. Yiftos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago tries to clinch but Carney is having none of it. It seemed like Carney was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Carney has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Carney swats away the attempt to clinch by Santiago. The fighters circling - Carney throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Santiago tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carney swats him away and circles back towards the center. Carney keeps the fight on the outside. Carney throws out a loose jab but Santiago uses good head movement to avoid it. Santiago has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Boston MMA in the buildup to the fight. Hemmo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hoo - the referee stops the clock and Hemmo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hoo. Hemmo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hemmo. As Hemmo backs away, Hoo returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Hoo lands with a shot to the body. Horrible takedown attempt by Hemmo or perhaps it was just good defense by Hoo, which made it look bad. Good work by Hemmo as he checks the leg kick. Hoo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hemmo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hemmo drops his hands momentarily and Hoo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kimroy Hoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. An inside leg kick from Hoo misses. Hemmo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hoo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoo manages to get back to half guard. Hemmo is nestled in close to Hoo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hemmo scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hoo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hemmo. Hemmo wants to free his trapped foot but Hoo is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hemmo is looking for a kimura here.

Hemmo shoots for a double leg takedown but Hoo sprawls well. He's pushed Hemmo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hemmo misses with a hook. Hoo ducked under it nicely. Hemmo takes a swing at Hoo's ribcage but misses. Hoo throws a quick counter kick to the body but Hemmo avoids it. Hemmo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hoo. Hoo obviously looking to wear him down.

He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Hemmo jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hoo looks for the body kick but Hemmo saw that one coming. Hemmo feints the counter takedown. Hemmo lands a jab-cross combination. Hoo thumps Hemmo with a low kick. Hoo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hemmo.
Hoo lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Hoo tried to score with a low kick but Hemmo checks it. Hoo slaps away a takedown attempt from Hemmo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hoo throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hemmo's head. Hoo scores with a slapping inside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hemmo doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Hoo fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Hoo is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Hemmo chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hoo can pounce on him.
Hemmo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hoo rather than just go for the knockout. Hoo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hoo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hemmo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Hemmo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hoo connects with a jab. Kimroy Hoo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hemmo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hoo. Hemmo takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Hoo thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hemmo if he has to take too many more of those.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Allen will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Allen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Allen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Rubin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Allen. Rubin wants to counter the offense by Allen and move into the clinch position. Rubin is looking to clinch. Allen looks to score with a jab to the body but Rubin is just out of range. Rubin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Allen swivels and escapes. It looked like Allen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Rubin shoots in and bounces Allen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Allen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Molski wants to land a leg kick but Severn is out of range. Severn appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Molski decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Molski winds up and cracks Severn with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Severn looking for submissions off his back. Severn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Molski pulls his head out easily. Molski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Severn actively working from the bottom here. Severn is refusing to be controlled, as Molski sits in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Severn wants to control but Molski is keeping busy and won't allow it. Molski winds up and cracks Severn with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Sackett ducks under a wild hook from Parke. Sackett wants to land a leg kick but Parke is out of range. Parke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A big right from Hong misses. Jingle Jingle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hong misses with a straight right. Nice cross by Hong. Hong slips a jab from Jingle.
