10 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Louis! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Louis just misses with a punch to the body.
Severn misses with a straight left. Louis has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Severn is landing a low percentage of strikes. Severn misses with a looping right. Severn misses with an attempted mid kick.
Louis dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Louis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Severn's waist but Severn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Louis off to one side. Severn is looking to counter punch. Severn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Severn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Louis fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Louis with a body punch. A glancing blow. Louis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Severn. Severn scores with a nice head shot. Louis is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Severn rather than just go for the knockout. Louis throws a left and a right that both miss

It looks like Chris Severn has been cut. Severn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Louis was well out of range. Poor timing from Severn. Severn slaps away a takedown attempt from Louis, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Severn seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Severn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Louis manages to avoid it. Louis fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Severn has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Severn throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Louis is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Gatsby throws a right hand that misses
and Brown counters with a solid body kick. Brown has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Brown misses the shot to the body. Gatsby is looking to counter the offense by Brown and move into the clinch. Jay Gatsby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown shoots in looking for a takedown. Gatsby tries to sprawl out of it but Brown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gatsby manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gatsby looks to score with a jab to the body but Brown is just out of range. Gatsby blocks a leg kick. Brown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gatsby can pounce on him.
Gatsby looks to clinch and Brown counters with a straight right hand. Gatsby misses with a leg kick. Brown moves away from the strike by Gatsby. Brown lands with a shot to the body. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brown lands a nice shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gatsby lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Bosco Brown seems to be getting the better of the standup. Gatsby throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Brown counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gatsby! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gatsby is looking for a sweep. Brown is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Brown working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gatsby manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.

Gatsby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gatsby can't keep his opponent in guard - Brown advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Gatsby wants to control but Brown is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gatsby is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brown can do to turn this around? Gatsby working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gatsby keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Brown's head. Gatsby lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Gatsby can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brown controls the pace. Bosco Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brown is in close to Gatsby's body, working some short punches and elbows.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jay Gatsby. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gatsby, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitaker Jr misses with a low kick. Volkov throws a quick inside leg kick. Good shot there by Volkov. Whitaker Jr ducks under a wild hook from Volkov. Whitaker Jr jabbing away but nothing is landing. Volkov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Whitaker Jr bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Volkov checks a leg kick. Volkov has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Volkov throws a body kick that misses. Whitaker Jr lands with an overhand left. Whitaker Jr does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Pernell Whitaker Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Volkov misses with a head kick.

Whitaker Jr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Volkov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Whitaker Jr in his tracks. Volkov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Volkov throws a hook to the side of Whitaker Jr's head but Whitaker Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

He's hooked one of Whitaker Jr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Whitaker Jr's back! Volkov is looking for a rear naked choke here but Whitaker Jr reverses the position brilliantly into Volkov's guard!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Volkov controls Whitaker Jr momentarily but Whitaker Jr frees himself. Volkov working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Whitaker Jr has passed into half guard!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeVanzo throws a nice inside leg kick. King pushes DeVanzo away with a front kick. King paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. DeVanzo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
King changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. King does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. DeVanzo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A head kick lands from King that sends DeVanzo to the canvas. DeVanzo tries to scramble back to his feet but King brings him back down into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! King in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DeVanzo is looking to reverse the position. King tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Killjoy looks for the body kick but Jintao saw that one coming. Killjoy moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromJintao. Jintao throws out a loose jab but Killjoy uses good head movement to avoid it. Jintao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Killjoy manages to avoid it. A solid leg kick lands there for Jintao.
Killjoy scores with a jab to the body. An inside leg kick from Jintao misses. Killjoy is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Killjoy tries to score with a low kick but Jintao moves his leg out of the way. Jintao uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Drug Killjoy has been cut. Killjoy thows a leg kick but Jintao checks it and Jintao counters with a head kick that drops Killjoy to the mat! Killjoy scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! A chopping leg kick lands by Killjoy. Drug Killjoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Killjoy walks straight into a right hand from Jintao - that's dropped him! Jintao jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Killjoy from any more punishment! Killjoy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Jackson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Benvenuti can pounce on him.
