0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Philip Gallagher! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pistachio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gallagher's waist but Gallagher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pistachio off to one side. Gallagher throws a fast counter high kick but Pistachio manages to duck under it in time. Pistachio throws a head kick that misses. Pistachio fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gallagher, pushing him back against the cage. Pistachio wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Gallagher throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Pistachio drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gallagher pulls his leg out and moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gallagher lands a nice knee to the body. Knees to the body from Gallagher.

Gallagher throws a leg kick which misses Pistachio's front leg but catches the back leg as Pistachio tries to avoid it. Gallagher throws a sloppy head kick and Pistachio moves out of range easily. Gallagher closes the distance and clinches. Pistachio has Gallagher pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gallagher manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Gallagher blocks the elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pistachio on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Pistachio is breathing heavily. Gallagher utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Gallagher can't find room to land a body shot as Pistachio controls the action.

It looks like Pelle Pistachio has been cut. Gallagher jerks Pistachio's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Pistachio drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Gallagher goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Gallagher because Pistachio was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Philip Gallagher! In his post fight interview, Philip Gallagher started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cage takes a shot right to the bread basket. Maximoff lands a slapping body shot.
Cage scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A low kick from Maximoff is predictable there and Cage counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Maximoff throws a hook but Cage avoids it easily. Cage swings widly with a right hand
and Maximoff counters with a solid body kick. Sloppy strikes from Maximoff. Those never looked like landing. Maximoff throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cage on the side of the head. Cage closes the distance and clinches. Maximoff swings wildly with an uppercut but Cage uses good head movement to avoid it. Maximoff avoiding damage as Cage throws knees to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cage blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Cage tries to throw a body punch but Maximoff avoids it by throwing Cage back against the cage. Maximoff misses with a hook from the clinch. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Basaev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. No joy there for Basaev, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boxer Ii throws a counter combo. Boxer Ii throws a hook but Basaev avoids it easily. Basaev misses with an uppercut
and Boxer Ii counters with a left to the body. Basaev ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boxer Ii moves away. The fighters circling - Boxer Ii throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Boxer Ii misses with a right hand and Basaev counters with a stiff right hand. Boxer Ii tries for a takedown but Basaev sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Basaev swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Boxer Ii misses with an uppercut. Basaev saw that one coming. The fight stays on the outside here - Boxer Ii looks like he's thinking about clinching though. An attempted straight right counter from Basaev misses the target. Basaev throws an overhand right that lands on Boxer Ii's shoulder, as Boxer Ii tries to avoid the shot. Boxer Ii throws a lazy right hand but Basaev sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Boxer Ii throws a jab when Basaev was well out of range. Basaev keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Boxer Ii throws a body shot but no joy. Boxer Ii misses with a right hand and Basaev counters with a nice right hand that sends Boxer Ii toppling to the canvas! Boxer Ii scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Basaev finish him?!
Boxer Ii is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Basaev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boxer Ii. Boxer Ii is still on wobbly legs! Can Basaev finish him? Boxer Ii leaves his chin hanging out and Basaev seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Boxer Ii crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Suarez will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Artur up against the cage. Suarez blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Suarez throws a head punch that misses. Suarez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Suarez pushes Artur back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Suarez lands a right hand. A left hand lands to the body for Suarez.

Ja works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Scar pushes Ja off and gets back to his feet.

and Scar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Scar. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ja avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ja has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Scar off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Scar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ja as he jumps to the side. Brij Ja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scar slips a jab and a cross from Ja.
Scar changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Ja lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ja. Scar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ja.
A combination from Ja does no damage. No joy there for Ja, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Scar attempts a counter takedown but Ja avoids it well and moves away. Ja drives through with a takedown into Scar's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scar managing to control the position. Scar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ja has his hands clasped together but Scar extends and breaks Ja's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Scar.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kalazzar Scar! A relieved looking Kalazzar Scar thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Foot tries to clinch up but Mahmoud pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Foot to the mat! Foot covers up and Mahmoud unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

We've been told by Hulk's head coaches at LOD: Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Hulk throws a hook to the side of Glozman's head but Glozman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Glozman looks like he wants to counter punch here. Glozman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Glozman.
It looks like Savage Hulk has been cut. An inside leg kick from Hulk misses. Glozman throws a lazy uppercut
and Hulk makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Glozman throws a body shot but no joy. Glozman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hulk. Hulk slips a jab from Glozman. Glozman has Hulk up against the cage in a clinch.
