33 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Benoit! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dunn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Benoit back to the cage. Dunn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Benoit misses with a straight right. Michael Benoit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dunn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Dunn swings for the body but Benoit moves out of range.
Dunn throws a lazy head kick and Benoit counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Benoit stuffs the takedown. Good exchange - Benoit coming out on top. Sims is looking to counter punch. Vesala jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sims takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Vesala uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sims. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vesala, as that shot connected.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Furfur scores with a punch to the head. Furfur stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Schtrappe. Schtrappe lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Schtrappe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Furfur looks to throw the jab but Schtrappe is out of range. Schtrappe tried to counter with a leg kick but Furfur avoided it. Schtrappe lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Schtrappe fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Furfur. Furfur misses with an uppercut. Schtrappe saw that one coming. Furfur connects with a jab. Furfur has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Furfur swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Good work by Schtrappe as he checks the leg kick. Schtrappe went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Schtrappe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Furfur. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Furfur, as that shot connected.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dufva moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Mancine misses with an uppercut. Dufva saw that one coming. Mancine swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The crowd cheers as Dufva lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mancine doesn't seem phased though. Mancine stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Sven Dufva has been cut. Dufva lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mancine backs up against the cage.
We've been informed that Mancine has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Mancine cracks Dufva with an uppercut from hell and Dufva crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Mancine's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Dufva is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mancine gets to his feet and stands over Dufva, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Dufva felt that one! Mancine unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Dufva from any more punishment!

Kage closes the distance looking to clinch and McGuire counters with a nice body shot. McGuire is looking to land body kicks. Kage misses with a kick to the body and McGuire counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kage lands a head kick. McGuire smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Kage pivots, looking for a leg kick but McGuire is out of range and Kage settles back down. McGuire swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. McGuire has been working on his boxing with his coaches at River's Edge Gym, DOW in the buildup to the fight. McGuire has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kage. Both fighters circling a little - McGuire finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Kage just misses with a punch to the body.

As Kage backs away, McGuire returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McGuire crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kage - the referee stops the clock and McGuire gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kage. McGuire manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kage lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McGuire circles away quickly and effectively. Kage tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McGuire is able to avoid easily. Kage throws a leg kick that misses. Kage scores with a leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kage rushes McGuire and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kage misses with a shot to the kidneys.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McGuire gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kage.
McGuire throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. McGuire is working Kage over against the cage. McGuire prevents the takedown attempt.
Zander McGuire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raijin Kage. Kage tries to score a body lock takedown but McGuire shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kage drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kage decides to pull guard. McGuire engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kage looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kage bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGuire's guard. McGuire controlling the position. McGuire wants to sweep here but Kage controlling him for the moment. Kage postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. McGuire trying to control the position.

A close round but Raijin Kage will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Medeiros takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Preston lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Medeiros moves out of range of the leg kick from Preston. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Preston.
Medeiros takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Preston lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Preston swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Medeiros. A combination from Preston does no damage. Medeiros shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Preston's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
