And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pascual Perez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida shoots in for a takedown but Perez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Perez clinches.
Perez tries to score a body lock takedown but Yoshida shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Perez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Perez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Perez wants to control but Yoshida is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Our spies down at at The Factory inform us that Perez has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Yoshida postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Perez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yoshida, into his guard.

Yoshida has his foot on Perez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perez works his way back into a safe position though.

Yoshida had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Perez defends it easily.

Yoshida pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Perez taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whipple shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Whipple showed some decent athleticism there.
Whipple is trying to control the action in half guard but Poulos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Poulos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Whipple will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Whipple wants to control from the top but Poulos keeps moving.

Poulos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whipple can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Poulos has control of Whipple's left arm, preventing Whipple from doing any damage.

Bamh works the jab nicely.

Bamh is looking to break free of the clinch but McGinn has double underhooks.
Our sources have told us that McGinn has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Bamh is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McGinn tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bamh's elbow.
McGinn blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

It looks like Ngoc Bamh has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bamh takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Vorster stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vorster wants it to stay on the feet.

Vorster forces Simmons back against the cage and clinches.
Vorster stops a takedown attempt from Simmons.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred Simmons. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vorster wants the takedown. Simmons is fighting it off but Vorster persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Simmons's guard against the cage.

Vorster drops back looking for a leg! Simmons is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Simmons manages to kick Vorster off! Vorster jumps back into Simmons's guard.

Vorster is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Simmons has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Vorster is looking to defend but Simmons has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Vorster! Simmons pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Vorster taps out and this one is all over!
