19 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Vyacheslav Fedotov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sly Guy! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Guy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Fedotov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Guy throws a sloppy head kick and Fedotov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Fedotov looks to score with a jab to the body but Guy is just out of range. Fedotov throws a jab when Guy was well out of range. Fedotov lands a really nice looking cross but Guy seems unphased.
Guy tries to clinch up. Fedotov thinks about countering with a body kick. Guy throws a body kick that misses. Fedotov lands a nice leg kick that just misses Guy's sensitive parts. Fedotov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Guy is trying to get back to his feet. Fedotov laying and praying for a moment but Guy takes advantage and regains half guard. Fedotov misses with a head shot. Guy uses the momentum to regain guard.

Fedotov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Fedotov trying to control but Guy is working from the bottom. Fedotov postures up in Guy's guard and throws a big left but Guy blocks it. Fedotov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fedotov wants to pass the guard but Guy is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fedotov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fedotov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Guy is looking to clinch. Fedotov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Guy throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Fedotov sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. and Guy counters with a head kick. That will keep Fedotov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Fedotov misses with a looping left. Fedotov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guy manages to avoid it. Good leg kick by Fedotov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Fedotov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fedotov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guy keeps working. Fedotov tries to move to full mount but Guy actually manages to regain half guard. Fedotov is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. The crowd are loving this. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fedotov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fedotov wants to sweep here but Guy controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diotte thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Hoshigaki throws a leg kick but Diotte sees it coming and moves out of range. It appears Diotte was looking to counter with a kick there. Diotte circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hoshigaki to the canvas! He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mercer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Mercer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Knapp sprawling to the canvas! Knapp rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mercer finish him?!
That has opened up Peter Knapp's cut even more. Knapp walks straight into a right hand from Mercer - that's dropped him! Mercer jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Knapp from any more punishment! Knapp complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Pena swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. St Lazarus tries to work over Pena's front leg with a kick but Pena checks it. St Lazarus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pena has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pena stalks St Lazarus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into St Lazarus's face. St Lazarus staggers backwards, shaken. St Lazarus misses with a straight right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close fourth round but I would say that Javier Pena will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Sloppy strikes there by St Lazarus. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. You get the feeling that Pena really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's two minutes gone in the round. St Lazarus with shots to the head and body - Pena looks very uncomfortable down there. St Lazarus cracks Pena with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

St Lazarus has control of Pena's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pena regains control of the situation pretty easily.
