4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gordan Vukovic! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vukovic looks for a takedown but Markov sprawls well. Vukovic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vukovic tries for a takedown but Markov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vukovic avoids a punch combination nicely.
Markov misses with a few strikes there.
Vukovic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Markov's half guard. Markov manages to escape and get back to his feet! Markov keeps the fight on the outside. Vukovic shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Markov eats them both and turns towards Vukovic to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Vukovic dodges the punch combination from Markov.
Vukovic tries to clinch up but Markov circles away and keeps his distance. Markov throws a series of punches but Vukovic avoids them all with ease. A countering left hand to the body from Vukovic misses. Markov throws the kick towards the body but Vukovic avoids it. Vukovic's coach down at Ironfist MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vukovic's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vukovic cracks Markov with a good jab. Markov throws an overhand right that lands on Vukovic's shoulder, as Vukovic tries to avoid the shot. Markov throws a right hand that Vukovic ducks under and follows up with a left that Vukovic also avoids with ease. Vukovic clinches with his opponent.
Markov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Markov throws a wild body kick that Vukovic sees coming a mile off. Vukovic is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Markov with a body shot. Vukovic on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gordan Vukovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from Vukovic does no damage. Markov gets tackled into the cage by Vukovic. Vukovic maintains the clinch. Vukovic jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Markov walks away with a smile on his face. Vukovic gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Fedor Markov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordan Vukovic. Vukovic fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Markov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vukovic connects with a looping right hand.
Vukovic fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Markov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Markov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Markov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vukovic circles away quickly and effectively. Markov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Markov tries to keep at a distance but Vukovic has taken the fight into the clinch. Markov stalling in the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vukovic gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Markov regains guard.
Markov looking for a guillotine here but Vukovic defends easily.
Vukovic trying to control but Markov is working from the bottom. Markov seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Vukovic is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Vukovic tries to free his leg and advance position but Markov is retaining full guard. Vukovic controlling from the top position. Markov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Markov looking for a guillotine here but Vukovic defends easily.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Markov holds on and takes a little breather. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Vukovic is in close to Markov's body, working some short punches and elbows. Vukovic wants to control from the top but Markov keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Vukovic scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Vukovic looks to score with a jab to the body but Markov is just out of range. Good leg kick by Markov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That was a close round but I would say that Fedor Markov will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Markov looks to land a combination but Vukovic avoids it well. Markov is looking to land body kicks. Markov throws a body punch but Vukovic moves out of range. Vukovic avoids a lazy jab quite easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vukovic drives through and clinches with Markov against the cage.

Vukovic shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Vukovic moves into range and clinches up with Markov. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Markov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Some wild striking there from Markov.

Vukovic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Markov lands a front kick. Vukovic takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Markov delivers a nice body kick. Markov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Vukovic under the eye.
It looks like Gordan Vukovic has been cut. Markov throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Vukovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Markov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Markov seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A decent looking body kick lands there for Markov. Markov throws a left that rocks Vukovic and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Markov dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Vukovic regain composure!
This has been an exciting period of action! Markov controlling the position from side mount. Markov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Vukovic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Markov decides to stand back up. Vukovic has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Markov. Markov misses with a double jab.

Markov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vukovic can do to turn this around? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Markov lands a left and a right that sends Vukovic crashing to the canvas! Markov dives into mount looking to finish!
Vukovic is rocked! Markov is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Markov extends the arm and Vukovic is forced to tap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flame shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lacroix defends it nicely. Lacroix scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Yoga Flame has been cut. Yoga Flame seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lacroix connects with a leg kick. Flame looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. A big left from Flame misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Flame. Lacroix does a little dance to reset his feet. Flame backing away here, and Lacroix unleashes a leg kick that just misses. A kick lands to the mid section there for Lacroix. Flame throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lacroix takes a kick to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick by Flame misses and Lacroix counters with a straight right hand. Lacroix chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Flame throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Flame throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lacroix lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Flame is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lacroix lands a nice leg kick that just misses Flame's sensitive parts. Oh Flame is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Flame stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lacroix. Flame tries to land a body kick and Lacroix counters with a good low kick that Flame was not able to check. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lacroix - that will leave a mark!
Flame is breathing heavily. Lacroix cracks a nice hook into Flame's ribs. A kick lands to the mid section there for Lacroix. Lacroix dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Flame takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lacroix dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Flame. That did some damage! Lacroix scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Flame doesn't seem bothered though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Lacroix throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Flame is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karlsson connects with a solid leg kick. Karlsson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Terranova misses with an uppercut. Terranova goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Terranova chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Karlsson can pounce on him.
A head kick misses from Terranova. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Karlsson, as that shot connected.
Terranova avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Karlsson catches Terranova with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Vinnie Terranova has been cut. Terranova shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Karlsson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nice straight punches there by Karlsson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Karlsson. This has been an exciting period of action! Karlsson scores with a jab to the body. Karlsson lands with a thumping leg kick.

Karlsson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Terranova takes one to the side of the head.
Terranova takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Terranova looks winded! Karlsson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Terranova at a distance.

Terranova throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Nice uppercut lands for Karlsson. That snapped Terranova's head back.
BOOM! Karlsson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Terranova. Terranova tries to recover but Karlsson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Terranova lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

We've been hearing reports that Newton has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Rusted throws a nice outside leg kick. and Newton counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Rusted fails with a takedown attempt. Newton tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rusted manages to circle out of the way. Rusted checks a low kick from Newton. Newton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rusted can pounce on him.

Burns has chosen Rock Master Scott & The Dynamic Three - The Roof Is On Fire as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Georgy Fokin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Burns! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fokin takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Burns missing with a left hand there. Fokin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Burns lands a jab. Fokin's corner calls for a 1-2. Fokin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Fokin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Burns lands with a nice body punch. Fokin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Burns looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Burns struggling a bit here. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Fokin is looking to take a break and control but Burns is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fokin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Burns tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns trying to control but Fokin flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Burns trying to control the action but Fokin just sinks the hooks in. Fokin punishes Burns with strikes from the back mount. Burns can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Burns looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Burns rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fokin jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fokin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym Beam in the buildup to the fight. Burns feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fokins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Fokin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Burns sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fokin throws a jab when Burns was well out of range. Fokin moves into the clinch. Burns swings wildly with an uppercut but Fokin uses good head movement to avoid it. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Burns. Fokin lands with a short shot to the head. Burns is trying to break the clinch but Fokin is controlling him. Fokin prevents a body shot from Burns.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burns drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Still in the clinch, Fokin scores with a nice short uppercut. Burns misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Fokin takes a shot to the head. Fokin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Burns breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed right hand from Fokin misses the target. Burns loads up on a big right hand but Fokin slips the punch. Nice defenses there by Fokin. Fokin half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Both fighters circling a little - Burns finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Good leg kick by Fokin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Burns takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Burns rushes Fokin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Burns tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Fokin has clasped his hands together around Burns's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Burns is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Fokin working over Burns with some ground and pound. Burns looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Burns actively working from the bottom here. Fokin seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Fokin trying to control from half guard but Burns is working away. Burns is in trouble now - Fokin has advanced to mount! Fokin controlling from mount. Fokin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Burns looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fokin blocks an uppercut.
