Kasady fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marakatti manages to avoid it.
A little jabbing left from Marakatti on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kasady displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marakatti.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Laverne Reynolds.

McGee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Champ manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

McGee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McGee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McGee wants to clinch.

and McGee counters by clinching up.
Champ throws a punch but it's blocked by McGee.
McGee throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McGee has Champ pressed against the cage, preventing Champ from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
McGee lands an elbow just above Champ 's eye.
Champ's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
McGee keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Champ's efforts to push away.
Champ has a couple of punches blocked by McGee.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Champ goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That kick from Perry tenderised Shopionus's leg. Shopionus is trying to keep his angry face on.
Shopionus looks to land a combination but Perry avoids it well.
We've been told by Perry's head coaches at The Butcher's Block that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Shopionus throws a nice looking combination but Perry bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Perry misses with an uppercut. Shopionus saw that one coming.
Perry throws out a leg kick but Shopionus moves out of range and Perry only half commits.

Shopionus drops his hands momentarily and Perry takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Ricky Shopionus has been cut.
Shopionus connects with a body shot that sends Perry's belly button to the back.
Good work by Shopionus as he checks the leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Perry lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shopionus has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shopionus and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Shopionus looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Shopionus throws a hook to the side of Perry's head but Perry sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Perry appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
The fighters circle momentarily. Shopionus darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ricky Shopionus will probably get the nod.

and Perry makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Shopionus really felt that one!

Perry closes the distance looking for a takedown. Shopionus stuffs it but Perry still has hold of him. Perry picks Shopionus up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Perry slams Shopionus to the floor and that's really hurt Shopionus - he doesn't know where he is! Perry throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Aker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Williams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aker is trying to defend but Williams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
