The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wieneke shoots in but Karelin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wieneke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karelin pinned against the cage. Karelin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Wieneke's coach down at Amstadam MMA traning center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wieneke's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Wieneke dives in for a single leg takedown but Karelin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jordan Karelin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marius Wieneke.

Fandango shoots for a takedown but Ericsson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dassler shoots in for a takedown but Coulson shows good takedown defense.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dassler has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Coulson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Rudi Dassler has been cut.
Coulson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Coulson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Dassler counters with a shoot takedown. Coulson fights it but they end up in guard.
