The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Melendez fails with a takedown attempt. Melendez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Garbrandt stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Garbrandt wants it to stay on the feet. Cody Garbrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! End shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pinn pinned against the cage. Pinn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. End shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pinn pinned against the cage. Pinn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wally Pinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. End moves out of range as Pinn strikes. End throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pinn's waist but Pinn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing End off to one side. Wally Pinn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice shot lands for Pinn. The fighters circling - Pinn throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pinn misses with a looping right. A big left from Pinn misses. End feints the counter takedown. End steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pinn. Pinn leaves End with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knott misses with a takedown attempt and Naoki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Naoki. Naoki throws a head kick but Knott moves out of range.

My spies in The Coffee Shop inform me that Naoki has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Naoki is working the ground and pound. Can Knott escape? Naoki lands an elbow to the side of the head. Knott is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The crowd goes nuts as Naoki celebrates and the doctors try to help Knott!

Takeshi Naoki was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. Buster Knott spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm young and still have a lot of upside. The same cannot be said of you.'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crespo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Crespo throws a one two combo.
Decent striking displayed by Crespo there. Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Crespo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Crespo misses with a straight right. Crespo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Crespo jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Crespo tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jones felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.
Crespo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Crowe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Dead Brothers - Old Pine Box. Bryggare has chosen Immortal Technique - Goonies Never Die as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Snooze misses with a takedown attempt - Darmody sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Snooze motions for Darmody to come forward. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Snooze! But no joy. Snooze looks to land a left hand but Darmody moved out of range nicely. Darmody throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice jab there from Jung. Lee throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jung was covering up waiting for the punch and Lee finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lee won't allow Jung to sweep him here. Jung pulls Lee in close to his closed guard and prevents Lee from doing any damage or advancing position. Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Jung is retaining full guard. Jung lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jung's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jung lands a couple of digs. Jung won't allow Lee to sweep him here. Jung is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control. Jung looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sungwon Jung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Lee lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jung's half guard. Jung trying to control but Lee postures up.
Hitmon Lee has got the better of the ground game so far. Jung has hold of Lee's hands but Lee slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Lee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
