The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roos closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Judah's guard.
Judah wants to sweep here but Roos controlling him for the moment.

Judah is looking to defend but Roos has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Judah! Roos pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Judah taps out and this one is all over!

Kanga Roos really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Urban Fighter logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

Chris Booger struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Powers uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Callard has time to react.
Powers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Callard fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Powers.
Powers throws the left hand but Callard avoids the punch easily.

Powers clobbers Callard with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Powers drops Callard with a big left hand! Callard is injured, injured bad! Powers jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Maven!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maven throws out a leg kick but Hermano moves out of range and Maven only half commits.
Hermano throws a quick counter kick to the body but Maven avoids it.

Hermano has managed to clinch.
Hermano tries for a takedown. No joy.

Maven breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hermano motions for Maven to come forward. Hermano throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hermano throws a half hearted mid kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Maven misses the target.
Hermano does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A little jabbing left from Maven on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Maven throws a big shot that misses.
Maven throws a leg kick that misses.
Hermano moves out of range of the leg kick from Maven.
Maven has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Maven swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Maven.
Maven rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hermano moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Maven stuffs the takedown attempt from Hermano. Hermano gets slowly back to his feet.
Maven lands a nice shot to the body.
Marcus Maven is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hermano dodges the punch combination from Maven.
Maven takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hermano connects with a solid leg kick.
Maven takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hermano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maven manages to avoid it.
Maven flicks out a counter leg kick but Hermano steps away.
Hermano cracks a nice hook into Maven's ribs.

Hermano gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hermano is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pelle Hermano. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hermano's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Maven misses with a short punch on the inside.
Hermano blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hermano doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Hermano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hermano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maven.
Maven throws a combination that misses

and Hermano counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Maven!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maven prevents Hermano from improving position.

Maven regains half guard.
Hermano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Maven is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hermano scores with a couple of nice shots.
Hermano slips a nice elbow through Maven's hands, connecting with Maven's forehead.
Maven tries to roll over but Hermano keeps him under control.
Hermano wants to control but Maven is keeping him busy.

Hermano is really struggling to control Maven but he's trying to hold on to the position.
