The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khaliq Khalid moves out of range of the strikes. Paunescu throws an off balance right hand
and Khaliq Khalid counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Paunescu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Khaliq Khalid uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Paunescu. Paunescu throws a big shot that misses. Paunescu throws an off balance right hand
and Khaliq Khalid counters with a nice right hand that sends Paunescu toppling to the canvas! Paunescu scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Khaliq Khalid finish him?!

It looks like Dan Paunescu has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paunescu lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Paunescu is still on wobbly legs! Can Khaliq Khalid finish him? Paunescu's coach down at Highland CT & Spar was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Paunescu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Khaliq Khalid throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Paunescu seems to have recovered his senses. Khaliq Khalid moves into the clinch successfully.

Roussow makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Roussow postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Gundersen covers up, he's hurt! Roussow keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Roussow and the ref steps in to end the fight! Roussow can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Gustav is trying to force a seperation but Harris has the dominant position. Gustav is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Gustav wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Gustav breaks from the clinch.

A bone on bone clash there as Gustav blocks the leg kick.
Gustav closes the distance and lands a one-two. A combination from Gustav does no damage. Harris lands with a good body shot. Harris tries to clinch but Gustav is having none of it. Gustav throwing a counter right hand but Harris manages to avoid it. Harris throws out a loose jab but Gustav uses good head movement to avoid it. Harris misses with a body shot.

Harris fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gustav on the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harris paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Harris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Harris instigates a clinch. Harris misses with a body punch.

A frustrated look appears on Gustav's face as he tries to break the clinch. Harris is leaning against Gustav and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. A nice left hand lands by Harris.

Harris drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gustav gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gustav lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Harris has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Harris prevents Gustav from breaking the clinch. Harris lands a shot to the body. Gustav can't break the clinch.

Gustav throws a right hand that Harris ducks under and follows up with a left that Harris also avoids with ease. Harris scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Carl Gustav is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Harris fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustav takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Harris throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gustav stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Gustav is breathing heavily. Harris connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Harris comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Jab by Harris. Gustav ducks under a wild hook from Harris. Some wild striking there from Harris.
Harris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gustav was covering up waiting for the punch and Harris finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gustav utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Harris pushes down on Gustav's leg and manages to get into half guard. Harris sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gustav defending well though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gustav wants to control but Harris is keeping busy.

Harris throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Gustav keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Harris is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Harris sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gustav defending well though. Gustav wants to get back to his feet. Gustav has hold of Harris's hands but Harris slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Harris missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Harris throwing shots but Gustav is blocking nicely. Gustav keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gustav pushes Harris off looking to stand but Harris dives back in and keeps control.

Alonzo Harris dominated that round. That's time! Gustav's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gustav takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Harris is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Harris lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Harris. Gustav keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Harris does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Carl Gustav is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris throws a jab when Gustav was well out of range. A left and a right from Harris both land. Nice combination. Alonzo Harris seems to be getting the better of the standup. Harris throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Harris lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gustav at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land. No joy there for Harris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Harris throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gustav walks into a jab. Gustav doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Harris slips a jab and a cross from Gustav.
Harris has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gustav misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A big left from Harris misses. Harris throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gustav on the side of the head. Harris throws a right and a left that both miss. Harris stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustav is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harris throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Harris tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gustav manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Harris misses with a two punch combination.

Oh Gustav is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gustav is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Harris doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Gustav crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Gustav's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alonzo Harris! Alonzo Harris tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Lindeberg. Kavlitzekis manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lindeberg's best efforts. Lindeberg lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kavlitzekis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kavlitzekis gets full guard. Lindeberg content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Lindeberg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lindeberg lands a couple of digs. Lindeberg stopping the sweep attempt from Kavlitzekis. Lindeberg lands a couple of digs. Kavlitzekis has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lindeberg doesn't defend quickly enough and Kavlitzekis has managed to lock this one up! Can Lindeberg escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kavlitzekis on a fantastic submission victory.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Walker pushing out the jab but it's not landing. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Road has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
