The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamarov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tanlagu.
Tanlagu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Tanlagu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Shamarov shoots in but no luck this time.
Tanlagu has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Shamarov.
Tanlagu wants to clinch.
Despite the aggression on Shamarov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Tanlagu fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tanlagu goes for a double leg but Shamarov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shamarov continues to drive forward.
Tanlagu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shamarov as he avoids it easily.
Shamarov unleashes a big counter combination but Tanlagu bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Tanlagu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shamarov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tanlagu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tanlagu is looking to get back to his feet here but Shamarov is keeping cool and he's managed to take Tanlagu's back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tanlagu is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Shamarov is working for a rear naked choke. Tanlagu is not defending it well and Shamarov has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Tanlagu refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Tanlagu's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Kilpatrick creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bagatin's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bagatin drops to his knees and Kilpatrick pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Rannikko lands with a hook. Dong tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rannikko lands a leg kick that knocks Dong off balance momentarily.

and Dong counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rannikko tried to score with a low kick but Dong checks it.

Dong drops Rannikko with a beautiful combination! Rannikko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dong is looking for the KO!
