Cage steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Lucchesi is out on his feet! Cage sets himself and nearly takes Lucchesi's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Rannikko delivers a nice body kick.
Rannikko looks to throw the jab but Vanderlay is out of range.
And Vanderlay tries to counter it with a takedown but Rannikko pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Rannikko cracks the inside of Vanderlay's front leg.

so Vanderlay counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rannikko has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Vanderlay prevents Rannikko from getting back to his feet.

Rannikko tries to roll over but Vanderlay keeps him under control.

Vanderlay is working for a submission of some sort.
Vanderlay working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rannikko tries to kick Vanderlay off but Vanderlay keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Vanderlay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Wibowo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rockwell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wibowo shoots for a takedown but Rockwell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A quick step to the side and Rockwell tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wibowo.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rockwell is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Wibowo asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Rockwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wibowo on the ground.
Wibowo cracks Rockwell with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Wibowo scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rockwell to see if he's OK.
Rockwell is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Wibowo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rockwell's waist but Rockwell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wibowo off to one side.
Rockwell appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

and Rockwell counters with a one-two to the body.

Wibowo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

and Wibowo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A decent looking cross lands there for Rockwell.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Rockwell counters with a nice right hand that sends Wibowo toppling to the canvas! Wibowo scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rockwell finish him?!

It looks like Michael Wibowo has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Rockwell engages and cracks Wibowo with a massive lead left hook - Wibowo tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Rockwell is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chest Rockwell!
