Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abdulla Quliev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hirohito Sato! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato misses with a straight right. Quliev seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Sato throws a body shot but no joy. Donk. Sato catches Quliev right on the button with a cross. Sato looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Quliev has managed to clinch.

Quliev tries to land knees in the clinch but Sato avoids the damage to the body. Sato comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Sato throws an elbow that misses.
Sato misses with a short punch on the inside. Sato pushes Quliev back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sato gets through Quliev's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Sato is leaning against Quliev and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Sato misses with a shot to the kidneys.

A shot in the inside from Sato. Sato pushes off an throws an elbow but Quliev leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sato. Sato lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Quliev is rocked! Quliev taking a breather. Oh Quliev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sato misses with a short punch on the inside. Quliev seems to have got his legs back now. Sato tries to land knees in the clinch but Quliev avoids the damage to the body. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sato. With the fighters up against the cage, Quliev throws an elbow but misses. Quliev makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Sato misses with a short punch on the inside. Sato lands with a right to the head. Sato scores with a knee to the head.
Quliev avoids a wild elbow strike from Sato. A nice glancing elbow lands by Sato. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sato creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Quliev with a big uppercut! Quliev tries to clinch up but Sato pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Quliev to the mat! Quliev covers up and Sato unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hirohito Sato! In his post fight interview, Hirohito Sato started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bushido Brown! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Ciz or perhaps it was just good defense by Brown, which made it look bad. Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ciz fires out a quick counter leg kick but Brown just manages to avoid it. Brown darts in looking for a takedown but Ciz gets double underhooks and turns Brown into the cage. Ciz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Brown fails with a takedown attempt. George Ciz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bushido Brown. Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ciz tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ciz to the ground. Ciz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ciz stuffs the takedown. Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ciz's waist but Ciz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side. Ciz half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown shoots in looking for a takedown. Ciz tries to sprawl out of it but Brown keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ciz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ciz half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Horrible takedown attempt by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Ciz, which made it look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ciz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Brown has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Brown shoots in for a takedown but Ciz shows good takedown defense. Brown is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ciz's half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ciz wants to improve his position but Brown is controlling well.
Brown works his way into side control. Brown works to advance to full mount. Ciz defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Ciz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ciz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brown is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Brown wants to control the pace but Ciz is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Brown is looking to work his way around to Ciz's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Brown trying to control but he's not successful this time. Brown wants to take Ciz's back here but Ciz is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Brown jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ciz is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ciz and Brown has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Brown moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Brown tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Brown wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ciz, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brown goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ciz rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Brown's guard! Nice work there by Ciz! Ciz throwing strikes from guard but Brown blocks nicely. Brown working for a triangle but Ciz defends it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ciz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that George Ciz will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brown manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ciz on his heels. He'll look to pass Ciz's guard now, I'm sure. Bushido Brown has got the better of the ground game so far. Ciz keeping full guard, as Brown tries to pass. Brown passes Ciz's left leg - he's now in half guard. Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ciz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown. Ciz is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brown's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brown's back! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Can Brown hold on?! Ciz is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Brown is trying to control. Ciz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Brown is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Ciz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown advances to half guard. Ciz is trying to control but Brown passes into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ciz struggling a bit here. Ciz is trying to get back to half guard. Brown tries to advance to mount but Ciz denies him. Brown goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ciz rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Brown's guard! Nice work there by Ciz! Brown is looking to cinch up a triangle. Ciz throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Brown's body to avoid the submission. Brown has instead reached around Ciz's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Brown arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bushido Brown! A less than humble Bushido Brown misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Nicely done. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roumani. Hughes unleashes a big counter combination but Roumani bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Hughes moves into the clinch. Roumani is trying to force a seperation but Hughes has the dominant position. Roumani tries to pull guard but Hughes forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ali Roumani. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hughes lands a good knee to the midsection. Roumani won't want to take too many of those. Hughes lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Roumani breaks from the clinch.

Roumani throws an overhand right that lands on Hughes's shoulder, as Hughes tries to avoid the shot. Roumani throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Hughes was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Hughes clinches up with Roumani and pushes him back against the cage. Roumani has had enough of the clinch but Hughes keeps him there for the moment. Hughes lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Roumani is looking for a takedown. Hughes utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've been told by Shaw's head coaches at Netherlands Top Team & KT that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dovah-Kinn lands with a good body shot. Shaw tries a head kick but it misses.
