Shraf sizes up Eddard with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Eddard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eddard with the ground and pound but Shraf regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Shraf has hold of Eddard's hands but Eddard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've been hearing that Eddard has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Shraf working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eddard doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eddard manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Shraf bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eddard's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Eddard is on top in guard.
Shraf is looking to cinch up a triangle. Eddard throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shraf's body to avoid the submission. Shraf has instead reached around Eddard's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shraf arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Slayer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Belfort does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Slayer wants to advance to full mount but Belfort doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Slayer has hold of Belfort's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Belfort seems comfortable defending it but Slayer has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Belfort is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Belfort is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Slayer couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Joe Doe spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
