Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chaka Mababa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urbloks Nokdoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mababa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Street Fighting Man. Urbloks Nokdoff has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Nokdoff misses its intended target.
Mababa drops Nokdoff with a beautiful combination! Nokdoff stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mababa is looking for the KO!
 It looks like Urbloks Nokdoff has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nokdoff throws a hook but Mababa blocks it. Mababa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Urbloks Nokdoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nokdoff blocks a head kick by Mababa.

Nokdoff dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Takaya comes into the arena with Jimi Hendrix - All along the Watchtower blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Cope's choice of entrance music: You're Going Down.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cope feints and then cracks Takaya's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Takaya down. Cope lands a really nice looking cross but Takaya seems unphased.

Cope tries to sprawl out of it but Takaya keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cope manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Takaya keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Takaya counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cope's guard now. Cope has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cope wants to sweep here but Takaya controlling him for the moment.

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Takaya missing with a left hand there. Cope was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Takaya has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cope.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nikkari is looking to slow Guerrero down with leg kicks. Nikkari tries to clinch but Guerrero is having none of it. Nikkari will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nikkari pushes Guerrero away with a front kick. Guerrero is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nikkari. Nikkari cracks Guerrero with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
 It looks like Eddie Guerrero has been cut. Nikkari thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Guerrero if he has to take too many more of those.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nikkari wants to land a leg kick but Guerrero is out of range. Nikkari tried to score with a low kick but Guerrero checks it. Nikkari lands a front kick. Guerrero takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Guerrero looks gassed!  It looks like Chingiz Akayev has been cut. Akayev walks into a straight right hand from Wells. Wells throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Akayev looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Wells wants to hold on but Akayev pushes him away. Wells is squirming around, avoiding Akayev's attempts to control the action.
Akayev jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle�. Ooooh, that looks tight� Wells is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Wells and Akayev has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Akayev lands with an uppercut that bounces Wells off the cage and back into rage. Wells uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Akayev. Wells will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

 Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Wells misses with a low kick.
