Dio lands with a nice combination. Carter backs away looking to recover.
Dio getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Nick Dio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dio moves into range and connects with a jab.
Carter takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dio feints a jab promting Carter to slip. Dio then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Dio fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Carter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dio to score with a decent uppercut.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dio can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sloan drops Aabi Hassan with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Aabi Hassan looks back up at him and smiles so Sloan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sidious throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Ford crashing down! Ford tries to stagger back to his feet but Sidious just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Ford asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
