The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakano clinches up with Velasquez and pushes him back against the ropes. Nakano crunches a lovely knee into Velasquez's ribcage. Nakano lands with a left to the head. Nakano scores with an uppercut up the middle. Velasquez is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though. Nakano lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Nakano works on Velasquez's body with a couple of short punches. Nakano throws an elbow that misses.

Nakano is working Velasquez over against the ropes. A nice left hand lands by Nakano.
Velasquez is rocked! Nakano scores with a nice hook to the head. Velasquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Nakano finish him? The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nakano dips a shoulder and cracks Velasquez with a mighty uppercut! Velasquez falls back against the ropes and Nakano unloads with a barrage of strikes! Velasquez is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the ropes! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Nakano screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Minoru Nakano! Minoru Nakano decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kikuchi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Van avoids it really well and circles away. Van gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kikuchi takes a knee right on the jaw!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van looks to throw an elbow but misses. Van tries to land a knee to the head but Kikuchi blocks with his arms.

That's one minute gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Van just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kikuchi's brow. Oh Kikuchi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Van throws an elbow that misses.

Van lands an elbow that stopped Kikuchi in his tracks for a moment. Van creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Kikuchi! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Van .

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chang Ru! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ru feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Ho's calf. Ho scores with a head kick.
Ho misses with a body kick. Ru follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Ho tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ru is able to avoid easily. Ru thows a left - swing and a miss! Ru takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ru displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ho throws out the jab. Ru flicks out a counter leg kick but Ho steps away. Ru takes one to the side of the head.
Ho stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ru. Ho gets a clinch. Ho blocks an elbow strike. Ho lands a shoulder strike. A short right from Ho on the inside. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A head punch blocked on the inside by Ru. Ho lands with a light punch inside. Ru lands a body punch. Ru breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good exchange - Ho coming out on top.
Ru is rocked! Ho uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ru.
Ru is still on wobbly legs! Can Ho finish him? Ho tries a head kick but it misses.
That kick from Ho tenderised Ru's leg. Ru is trying to keep his angry face on. Ho cracks Ru with a hook to the temple - Ru is on wobbly legs here! Ho swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Ru falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Ho wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Phat Ho! After winning the bout, Phat Ho thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esposito swings away with a leg kick that misses. Cooper misses the jab. Esposito looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Cooper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cooper looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Esposito ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A swing and a miss from Esposito . Cooper is looking for a counter combo. Esposito lands with a right hand. Esposito throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Cooper is rocked! Nice straight punches there by Cooper. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cooper. Oh Cooper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cooper moves out of range of the strikes. A big right from Cooper misses. Esposito throws out a counter right but Cooper avoids it with no problem. Cooper seems to have got his legs back now. Oooh a lovely combination from Cooper sends Esposito down but not out. Cooper dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Dante Esposito has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Esposito is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Cooper has just dragged him back down to the mat. You can see the frustration on Esposito 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Esposito defending against the ground and pound.

Cooper working away. Esposito dodges the ground and pound from Cooper. Cooper postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Esposito wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Cooper fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Esposito is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Cooper has just dragged him back down to the mat. Esposito defending against the ground and pound. Cooper throws an elbow but Esposito slips to the side and avoids it well. Cooper tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Cooper in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Esposito is trying to work for a sweep but Cooper has mounted him! Esposito is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Cooper tries to push Esposito 's head away but Esposito is holding on tight. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. A nice elbow there by Cooper. Esposito tries to hold on but Cooper postures up. Cooper looking to ground and pound but Esposito is blocking nicely. Cooper looking for a guillotine from mount but Esposito is having none of it. Esposito is trying to escape the mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Esposito tries to lock up and control but Cooper gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Cooper with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Esposito can do anything to dispel that myth. Cooper avoids the attempt from Esposito to control. Esposito is in all sorts of trouble here.

You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Esposito . Esposito lands a big uppercut and Cooper crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cooper looks OK. Esposito waves Cooper back to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cooper has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Esposito . Cooper rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Esposito counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Esposito throws a leg kick which misses Cooper's front leg but catches the back leg as Cooper tries to avoid it. Good standup being displayed there by Cooper as he connects with a hook. Some wild striking there from Cooper.
Esposito now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Cooper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Esposito feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Cooper sprawling to the canvas! Cooper rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Esposito finish him?!
It looks like John Cooper has been cut. Esposito is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Esposito shuts the power down on Cooper. Lights out, game over! Esposito is your winner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Punk drops his hands momentarily and Angstrom takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Angstrom cracks Punk with an open hand slap. Punk moves in looking to clinch but Angstrom pushes him off. Punk fails to land the takedown. Punk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Angstrom as he avoids it easily. Angstrom lands a jab. Punk takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Angstrom throws out a loose jab but Punk uses good head movement to avoid it. Angstrom misses with a few strikes there.
Punk is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Angstrom drives through and clinches with Punk against the ropes.

Angstrom is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Punk is keeping busy. Punk goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Punk takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Angstrom is looking to take this one to the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Punk is trying to maintain a safe position but Angstrom gets an underhook and turns Punk into the ropes. Punk blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Angstrom throws a front kick aimed at Punk's knee but Punk avoids it well. Nice sprawl there from Angstrom as Punk shoots in. Harry Angstrom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of EM Punk. Punk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Punk creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Angstrom sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Angstrom tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Punk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Angstrom wants to control but Punk postures up. Angstrom is looking for a sweep. Punk trying to control the position but Angstrom is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angstrom can't do much from the bottom here. Angstrom regains half guard. Angstrom slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Punk tries to free his leg and advance position but Angstrom is retaining full guard. Angstrom keeping moving, preventing Punk from controlling successfully. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Punk might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Angstrom haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Angstrom is trying to control the position but Punk postures up. Punk looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A jab from Angstrom misses. Punk shoots for a takedown but Angstrom saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. It looked like Angstrom was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Punk steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Angstrom. That one must have hurt. Angstrom fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Punk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Punk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Angstrom tries to avoid it but Punk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Angstrom to the ground. Angstrom escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Angstrom clinches up with Punk and pushes him back against the ropes. Angstrom tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Punk throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Angstrom blocks it with crossed arms. Punk looking to stall.

Punk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Angstrom circles away. Punk has closed the distance and engaged Angstrom in a clinch.

Punk takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Punk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Angstrom is fending him off so far but Punk persists. Nope, Angstrom circles away and we're back to standing. Angstrom throws a sloppy head kick and Punk moves out of range easily. Punk shoots in but no luck this time. Harry Angstrom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of EM Punk. Punk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Angstrom paws at him with a jab and circles away. Angstrom looks to land a body kick but Punk moved away. Punk slips under a jab. The fighters circle momentarily. Angstrom darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Punk on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Punk slips a jab from Angstrom. No luck with that takedown attempt from Punk. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Angstrom throws a sloppy head kick and Punk moves out of range easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Punk fails with the takedown. Angstrom is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Punk can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Punk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Punk is breathing heavily. Punk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Punk not landing any meaningful shots this time. Angstrom keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Angstrom trying to control here.
Punk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Angstrom does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Angstrom moves into full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makhachev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
