The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokinen lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Herald steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Beast. Beast walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Herald connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. The Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beast misses with a right hand and Beast takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Beast darts in looking for a takedown but Herald gets double underhooks and turns Beast into the cage. Herald misses with a looping left. Beast throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Herald thuds his right hand into Beast's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Beast with a lazy takedown attempt and Herald connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Herald throws a nice outside leg kick. Beast misses with a shot to the body and Herald counters with a stiff right hand. Herald is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Beast. Beast misses with a wild combination.

Lewis is rocked! Lewis's coach down at The Cave Fighting Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lewis's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Parke fakes the leg kick and cracks Kornilov in the body. Parke finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boone is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Marailov. Boone throws a poor cross that misses
and Marailov counters with a right hand to the body. We've been told by Marailov's head coaches at World Combat Sports Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Boone misses with a lunging right hand
and Marailov counters with a stiff right hand. Marailov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Marailov throws a looping overhand right but Boone ducks down to avoid it. Boone looks like he wants to counter punch here. Gustav Marailov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boone throws a one two combo.
A big left from Boone misses. Boone looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Boone throws a lazy uppercut
and Marailov counters with a nice uppercut. Marailov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boone. A little jabbing left from Boone on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Wooooo! Marailov is controlling Boone's trapped leg to prevent Boone from advancing to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boone wants to pass the guard but Marailov is defending well. Boone winds up and cracks Marailov with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Marailov scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Boone manages to mount him!

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Marailov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Marailov!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gustav Marailov. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marailov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
