The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gracie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Gracie is trying to maintain a safe position but James gets an underhook and turns Gracie into the cage.

James lands a hook that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.

James can't find room to land a body shot as Gracie controls the action.

James gets through Gracie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

James tries to work over Gracie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Gracie jumps guard but James stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The cut above Lucio Gracie's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Rick James has scored more points in the clinch so far.

James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Oooooh!!! James has knocked Gracie down with a huge combo! James steps away and waves a wobbly Gracie back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
James just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie drops down looking to force a counter takedown but James defends it well.
Gracie leaves his chin hanging out and James seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Gracie crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
