Monroe seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Monroe lands a jab to the nose. Hunt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Monroe counters with a stiff right hand. Hunt is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dekkers takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dekkers does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Dekkers has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Strike Zone KT in the buildup to the fight. Jernit throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jernit connects with a high kick. Jernit throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dekkers sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dekkers throws the left hand but Jernit avoids the punch easily. Dekkers shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The crowd cheers as Dekkers lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jernit doesn't seem phased though. Dekkers uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jernit. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jernit, as that shot connected.
Jernit rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dekkers moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dekkers is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jernit. Dekkers stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jernit. Dekkers jabs at Jernit's body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dekkers pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Jernit pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Good exchange - Jernit coming out on top. Jernit takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Dekkers takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Dekkers darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jernit is looking to land body kicks. Dekkers's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jernit connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dekkers scrambles back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dekkers takes a swing at Jernit's ribcage but misses. A jab from Dekkers misses. Dekkers needs to keep his hands up - Jernit had a free shot at his head there. Jernit lands with a good body shot. Dekkers jabbing away but nothing is landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dekkers slips a straight right by Jernit. Jernit throws a lazy right hand but Dekkers sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dekkers bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jernit's head backwards. Jernit throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Bunt Jernit seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dekkers tries to clinch but fails miserably and Jernit counters with a nice uppercut. Dekkers lunges at Jernit with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jernit's hand.
