The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes forces Simona back against the cage and clinches.
Simona wants to break the clinch but can't.
A body shot lands from Hughes.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Simona has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hughes scores with a nice hook to the head.

Hughes tightens his grip and picks Simona up, before dumping him to the ground. Simona manages to land in guard.
Hughes wants to pass the guard but Simona is keeping the position.
We've been hearing that Hughes has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
