Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jericho Hill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Don Julio! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hill avoids the head kick by Julio.
Julio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hill scores with a takedown into Julio's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hill controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hill throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Julio works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hill looking to pass the guard. Julio wants to stand but Hill is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hill postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hill throws an elbow that misses. Julio uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hill's guard. Nice move by Julio! Hill is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Julio stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Julio throws a sloppy head kick and Hill moves out of range easily. Hill half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Julio lands a glancing blow to the side of Hill's head. Julio moves away from the strike by Hill. Hill shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Julio defends it nicely. Julio looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hill ducks under a wild hook from Julio. Hill takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hill ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hill looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hill goes for a double leg but Julio avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Julio continues to drive forward. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Julio! But no joy. Hill looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Julio is fending him off so far but Hill persists. Nope, Julio circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jericho Hill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hill chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Julio can pounce on him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hill shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Julio is trying to defend but Hill finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Julio pushes Hill off looking to stand but Hill dives back in and keeps control.
Julio has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Hill wants to take a breather but Julio is having none of it. Hill thows a huge punch but Julio dodges it nicely.

Hill fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Julio to the ground. Hill is now in Julio's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hill prevents Julio from getting back to his feet. Julio is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Hill's corner is telling him to maintain position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Julio dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hill shoots in and bounces Julio off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Julio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hill throws a big elbow that misses. Julio utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Julio uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Hill shoots for a takedown but Julio saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hill drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Hill shoots and misses and Julio counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jericho Hill. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hill shoots in for a takedown but Julio shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Don Julio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Julio lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hill has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hill there as he acknowledges the shot. Julio misses with a hook. Hill ducked under it nicely. No luck for Hill with that takedown attempt. Julio cracks Hill with a right hand to the side of the head. Julio misses with an uppercut. Julio tries to bum rush Hill with a series of wild strikes but Hill uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hill shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hill is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hill won't allow Julio to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Julio keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully. Hill throws a strike but Julio rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hill pulls Julio in to control the position.

Hill wants to sweep here but Julio controlling him for the moment. Julio is fighting to break Hill's control of his arms but Hill is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Julio throws a sloppy head kick and Hill moves out of range easily. Hill feints and then cracks Julio's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Julio down. Hill is trying hard to land a takedown here. Julio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hill shoots in for a double leg but Julio sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Julio has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hill looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hill shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Julio as he jumps to the side. Hill avoids the body shot from Julio.

Don Julio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Hill's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hill feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Julio wants to stand up but Hill is controlling him. Julio keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully. Hill is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hill is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hill working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice takedown defense from Julio. No joy for Hill on that attempt. Hill throws a leg kick but Julio sees it coming and checks it nicely. Jericho Hill has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hill tries for a takedown but Julio circles away easily and Julio counters with a big head kick but Hill shrugs it off. Hill gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Julio. Hill will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Julio throws a body shot but no joy. Hill moves forwards but Julio connects with a nice, crisp jab. Hill dives in and grabs Julio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Julio pushes down on Hill's head and hops out. Julio stuffs the takedown attempt from Hill. Hill gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hill tries to score a power double leg takedown but Julio sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hill somewhat. Julio delivers a nice body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Julio pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hill shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Julio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Julio lands a head kick!
Hill fails with a takedown attempt. Hill shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Julio napping and manages to drive through into side control! This has been an exciting period of action! Julio tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
And that's the end of the fight! Don Julio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Julio winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Rollins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burrell was well out of range. Poor timing from Rollins. A good leg kick by Rollins. Nice defenses there by Rollins. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Burrell has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Rollins gets tackled into the cage by Burrell . Rollins lands a big head kick that sends Burrell to the canvas! Rollins follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Castor Rollins! A very excited looking Castor Rollins rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Whitaker Jr manages to avoid it. Whitaker Jr connects with a body shot that sends Shaman's belly button to the back. Shaman blocks a leg kick. Whitaker Jr drops his hands momentarily and Shaman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Good leg kick by Whitaker Jr there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shaman shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Whitaker Jr attempts a counter takedown but Shaman avoids it well and moves away. We've been informed that Shaman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Whitaker Jr avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Whitaker Jr swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shaman. A combination from Shaman does no damage. Whitaker Jr has been working on his balance at Hell's Balls NY Hellcademy, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Shaman. Whitaker Jr connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Shaman throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Whitaker Jr changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Whitaker Jr takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Horrible takedown attempt by Whitaker Jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Shaman, which made it look bad. Good exchange - Whitaker Jr coming out on top. and Little counters with a slapping leg kick. Little throws a leg kick which misses Massey's front leg but catches the back leg as Massey tries to avoid it. Little avoids the body shot from Massey.

Massey tries to get into range but Little steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Massey! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Derfel Cadarn! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cadarn checks the leg kick. Cadarn steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Hoi checks a leg kick. Cadarn tries a head kick but it misses.
Cadarn tries to close the distance and clinch but Hoi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Cadarn lands a nice looking body kick. Cadarn misses with a low kick. Hoi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Cooker in the buildup to the fight. Nice body kick there by Hoi. Cadarn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hoi. We've been informed that Cadarn has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Cadarn connects with a body shot that sends Hoi's belly button to the back. Cadarn walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hoi checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Hoi connects with a leg kick. Cadarn looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cadarn moves out of range as Hoi throws a body kick.

Cadarn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hoi momentarily.

Cadarn tries to catch it but that hurt him. Hoi looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. An inside leg kick from Hoi misses. Hoi smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Hoi throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Hoi throws a body kick that misses. Cadarn blocks the body kick.
Hoi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hoi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Cadarn sends Hoi crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cadarn is motioning to the referee to let Hoi up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Rocker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Rocker throws a body shot but no joy. Kokane lands a slapping body shot.

Rocker is looking to work some ground and pound but Kokane has wrist control. Rocker with a flurry of punches that miss. Rocker preventing the sweep. Rocker wants to control from the top but Kokane keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kokane wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Rocker throws a strike but Kokane rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ricky Rocker has got the better of the ground game so far. Kokane won't allow Rocker to sweep him here. Rocker wants to hit a switch here but Kokane passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Rocker there! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rocker manages to regain half guard. Good work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jerry Kokane had his way with Ricky Rocker in that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Rocker darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kokane lands with a nice body punch. Kokane misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Rocker counters with an outside leg kick.

Rocker looks to land a left hand but Kokane moved out of range nicely. Rocker looks to land a combination but Kokane avoids it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rocker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kokane gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Rocker throws a jab but it's blocked by Kokane. Kokane misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rocker throws out a loose jab but Kokane uses good head movement to avoid it. Rocker with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kokane to score with a decent uppercut. Kokane lands with a good body shot. Rocker thows a body kick. Kokane tries to catch it but that hurt him. Kokane blocks a jab. Rocker thows a left - swing and a miss! Kokane moves away from the strike by Rocker. Rocker throws a sloppy head kick and Kokane makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Rocker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kokane has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rocker thuds his right hand into Kokane's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Rocker lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Rocker loads up on a big right hand but Kokane slips the punch. Jerry Kokane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rocker misses with a looping right. Rocker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rocker appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Kokane moves away from the strike by Rocker. Kokane throwing a counter right hand but Rocker manages to avoid it. Kokane swings and misses with a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Rocker scores with a head kick. Kokane tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Rocker connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kokane scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Rocker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rocker jabs Kokane right on the nose. Kokane blinks but takes it well. Kokane wants to clinch up but Rocker keeps it at a distance. It seemed like Rocker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kokane takes a jab right on the kisser.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kokane throws out the jab. Kokane on the wrong end of a nice hook. Kokane tries to move into range but Rocker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Rocker looks to throw the jab but Kokane is out of range. Rocker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Kokane moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Kokane takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A punch lands to the side of Kokane 's head but he takes it in his stride. Rocker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kokane to the ground. Rocker is now in Kokane's guard. Kokane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rocker defends it easily. Rocker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rocker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Rocker is working Kokane over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rocker trying to control the position from guard on top but Kokane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rocker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Kokane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rocker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rocker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rocker works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricky Rocker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rocker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

25 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Helix Cabrera! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Liam Donnelly! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donnelly ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Donnelly throws a hook to the side of Cabrera's head but Cabrera sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A shot to the liver by Donnelly. Beautiful body shot. Cabrera waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Donnelly. Donnelly has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cabrera is landing a low percentage of strikes. Cabrera throws a low kick but Donnelly avoids it. Cabrera avoids the body shot from Donnelly.
Donnelly throws a body kick that misses. Cabrera misses with an uppercut. Donnelly saw that one coming. Donnelly buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Cabrera uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Donnelly has time to react. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cabrera throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cabrera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Donnelly uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cabrera. Cabrera lands a jab. Cabrera tries to bum rush Donnelly with a series of wild strikes but Donnelly uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Liam Donnelly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donnelly misses the shot to the body. Cabrera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Donnelly to the mat! Donnelly manages to get full guard. Cabrera tries to free his leg and advance position but Donnelly is retaining full guard. Cabrera seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Donnelly wants to reverse the position here. Cabrera has hold of a leg though and he's dropped back looking for a kneebar! The fighters roll across the mat but Donnelly is forced to tap! Donnelly looks devastated but at least his leg points in the right direction.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Helix Cabrera! Helix Cabrera retains his lightweight title! In his post fight interview, Helix Cabrera started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
