Batts throws a jab but it's blocked by Morato.
Morato missing with a left hand there. Batts was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Batts throwing a counter right hand but Morato manages to avoid it.
Batts misses with a head kick.

Batts manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morato on his heels. He'll look to pass Morato's guard now, I'm sure.
Batts postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Batts is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Morato is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Morato has escaped and now he's on top!

Taranin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Taranin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Abbott creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A nice left hand lands by Abbott.
Abbott lands a right hand that snaps the head of Overeem backwards.

Overeem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Overeem misses with an attempted mid kick.
Overeem slips under a jab.
Overeem looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Overeem is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Abbott.
Abbott takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters circling - Overeem throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Overeem misses with a hook.
Abbott takes one to the chin there.
Overeem misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Abbott.
Abbott lands a front kick.
Abbott ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Overeem moves away.

Abbott throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Overeem sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Abbott shoots in for a takedown but Overeem shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Overeem misses with a looping left.
Overeem uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Abbott needs to keep his hands up - Overeem had a free shot at his head there.
Abbott throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Overeem throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Brenden Abbott has been cut.
Abbott keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Abbott pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Abbott dodges the punch combination from Overeem.
Overeem tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Overeem lands a jab to the head.
Overeem lands with a straight right. Abbott didn't see that one coming.
