The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Showtime fails to land with a series of punches.
Laranja will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Showtime appears to be looking for a big counter. Showtime gets a double leg takedown into Laranja's guard. Laranja is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Showtime decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Laranja, up you get! Showtime shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Laranja napping and manages to drive through into side control! Showtime decides to stand up, so the ref orders Laranja to his feet. Laranja has his takedown stuffed and Showtime counters by clinching up. Showtime breaks from the clinch.

Showtime rushes Laranja and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Laranja's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Showtime paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Laranja takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Showtime drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Showtime takes a little break here. Laranja wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Showtime stands up. Showtime darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Showtime stalks Laranja and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Laranja's face. Laranja staggers backwards, shaken.

Laranja is still on wobbly legs! Can Showtime finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Showtime shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Laranja manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Showtime escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Laranja swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Chomsky throws an overhand right that lands on Halo's shoulder, as Halo tries to avoid the shot. Halo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Halo lands a jab-cross combination. Halo throws a series of punches but Chomsky moves out of range. Halo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chomsky defends well and Halo ends up having to push Chomsky into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Halo throws a sloppy head kick and Chomsky moves out of range easily. Halo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chomsky's waist but Chomsky gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Halo off to one side. Chomsky tries to counter by clinching up but Halo breaks away and moves out of range. Halo takes one on the button. Halo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Halo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Halo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Halo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Chomsky knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee throws a body shot but no joy. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lee. Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Cook circles away.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Cook sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lee throws a push kick but Cook slaps the foot to one side. Cook throws a head kick that misses. Cook avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cook avoids a punch combination nicely.
A left and a right from Cook both land. Nice combination. Lee is looking to chop away at Cook's legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cook looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lee stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Cook lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A kick lands to the mid section there for Cook. This has been an exciting period of action! Lee with a lazy takedown attempt and Cook counters with a one-two to the body. James Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Lee. Lee is looking to clinch but Cook is avoiding it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lee there as he acknowledges the shot. Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cook. Cook scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Cook throws a one two combo.
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cook manages to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Lee. Lee throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Cook looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range. Cook stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. It looked like Cook wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Cook lands a nice shot that snaps Lee's head back.
Lee gets caught flat footed, as Cook shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Cook has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cook is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cook content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cook cracks Lee with a solid left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cook makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cook working some strikes from top position. Lee trying to keep a closed guard but Cook is proving a slippery customer.
Cook pushing down on Lee's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Cook is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cook seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Lee is rocked! Cook lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lee quite badly. Lee pulls Cook in close trying to recover. Cook postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lee on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lee doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Cook! A relieved looking James Cook thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The defeated William Lee had this to say: 'I'll be back stronger than ever.'.

Maiden fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gambino sprawls well initially but Maiden persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gambino scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Maiden manages to mount him!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maiden throws some wild stikes that Gambino manages to avoid easily.

Maiden can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gambino is looking to escape. Maiden looking to finish Gambino with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gambino! Maiden with shots to the head and body - Gambino looks very uncomfortable down there. Maiden thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Gambino takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seyedi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A swing and a miss from Seyedi. Seyedi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coleman circles away quickly and effectively. Coleman unleashes a big counter combination but Seyedi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Coleman misses with a body shot.
Coleman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Seyedi seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Coleman on the wrong end of a nice hook. Seyedi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
