The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking cross lands there for Bedlaminov. Bedlaminov connects with a nice looking jab.
Bedlaminov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kurtz throws a lazy uppercut
and Bedlaminov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bedlaminov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bedlaminov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kurtz under the eye. Kurtz has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kurtz tries to work over Bedlaminov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kurtz tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bedlaminov's elbow. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bedlaminov prevents a body shot from Kurtz. Kurtz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bedlaminov avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bedlaminov blocks an uppercut.

and Bedlaminov counters with a nice body shot. Bedlaminov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kurtz can do to turn this around? Bedlaminov scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kurtz in his tracks. Kurtz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bedlaminov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bedlaminov avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Yuri Bedlaminov is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bedlaminov connects with a nice looking jab.
Kurtz staying out of range there. Bedlaminov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Yuri Bedlaminov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bedlaminov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Myres enables Toivonen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Myres manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Myres working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Toivonen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Myres is tightening it up a little... Toivonen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Toivonen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Toivonen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Myres!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Shane Myres! Shane Myres decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Northcut. Begley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Northcut sprawls well. Northcut wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Begley gets slowly back to his feet. Northcut feints the counter takedown. Begley shoots in looking for a takedown but Northcut manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Begley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Begley tries for a takedown but Northcut sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Begley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Begley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Northcut's half guard. Begley missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Begley seems to be looking for submissions.

Northcut wants to control but Begley is keeping him busy. Begley is trying to maintain the position but Northcut is very close to passing his half guard. Northcut keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Begley flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Northcut is trying to control the action in half guard but Begley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Northcut is thwarting Begley's attempts to control the position. Northcut thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Begley's head. Northcut is keen to just control but Begley is a slippery customer. Begley trying to control from the bottom.
Northcut lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Northcut throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Begley wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Begley manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Northcut avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Northcut stands and throws Begley's legs to the side, diving into side control. Northcut connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Begley some visible discomfort.
Northcut is looking to take a break and control but Begley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Northcut creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Northcut is putting a hurting on Begley here, landing some big shots from side control. Northcut cracks Begley with a big elbow. Northcut landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Northcut working the body and head with strikes. Northcut working the ground and pound. We've been informed that Northcut has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Northcut blocks the strikes from Begley.
Begley takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Begley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Northcut won't allow Begley to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Northcut stands up over Begley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Northcut scoring with punches to the head and body. Northcut trying to control but Begley is working from the bottom. Northcut throws a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Tom Begley will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Horrible takedown attempt by Begley or perhaps it was just good defense by Northcut, which made it look bad. Northcut defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Begley. Northcut tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Northcut shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Begley defends it nicely. Northcut shoots in for a double leg but Begley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. No luck with that takedown attempt from Begley. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Begley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Begley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Begley was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Begley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Northcut sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Begley somewhat. Northcut tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Begley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Northcut. Begley bucks Northcut off and manages to get back to his feet! Northcut shoots for a takedown but Begley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Northcut is trying hard to land a takedown here. Begley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Begley fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Northcut tries for a takedown but Begley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Northcut gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Rick Northcut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Northcut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. McFukur misses with a two punch combination.
Jack attempts a counter takedown but McFukur avoids it well and moves away. McFukur feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jack is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McFukur defends well. McFukur got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McFukur has managed to get both his arms back between Jack's legs - danger averted. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
