The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kutsoo enables Morgan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kutsoo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Vivian shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Falcone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Falcone leaves Vivian with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Falcone misses.
Vivian tries for a takedown but Falcone circles away easily
and Falcone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kieta Vivian. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Falcone lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Vivian at a distance.
Vivian closes the distance and clinches up with Falcone, looking for a takedown. Vivian pushes Falcone against the cage but Falcone circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Falcone defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vivian.
Falcone fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vivian.
Vivian shoots in looking for a takedown but Falcone manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vivian's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Vivian looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Falcone's corner calls for a 1-2. Falcone obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Vivian throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Falcone was covering up waiting for the punch and Vivian finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Falcone manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Vivian is breathing heavily.

Falcone turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Vivian shoots in for a takedown but Falcone shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rocco Falcone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Falcone lands a left and a right that send Vivian crashing to the mat, dazed. Falcone thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vivian is defended easily by Falcone.
Vivian walks straight into a right hand from Falcone - that's dropped him! Falcone jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Vivian from any more punishment! Vivian complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

After winning the bout, Rocco Falcone thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Sten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichi Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
