The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dood on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Dood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hunt swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hunt, as that shot connected.

Shroud throws out a loose jab but Azevedo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Azevedo attempts a counter takedown but Shroud avoids it well and moves away.
Shroud displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Azevedo.
Shroud feints the counter takedown.
Azevedo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shroud swivels and escapes.
Azevedo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thiago Cavalcanti Azevedo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shroud shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Azevedo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Azevedo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shroud can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Azevedo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Shroud rolls with it to try and escape but Azevedo cranks on the arm and Shroud is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
