Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lin Shui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Ciz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lin Shui has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lin Shui seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lin Shui! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, George Ciz! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shui tries to land a body kick and Ciz counters with a shoot takedown. Shui fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Shui manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Ciz prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shui lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ciz backwards. Ciz wants a takedown.
Shui manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shui. Ciz does a little dance to reset his feet. Ciz rushes Shui and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ciz dodges an elbow strike from Shui.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shui breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ciz motions for Shui to come forward. Ciz throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Ciz throws out a leg kick but Shui moves out of range and Ciz only half commits.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shui connects with a body shot that sends Ciz's belly button to the back. Shui gets the takedown into side control. Ciz dodges the ground and pound from Shui. Ciz sneaks back into half guard. Ciz keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Shui is trying to control. Ciz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Shui slows the pace down in half guard. Ciz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shui.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shui tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ciz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Ciz has his hands clasped together around Shui's back. He's all about the action. Ciz has hold of Shui's hands but Shui slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Shui is trying to control the action in half guard but Ciz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Shui looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Shui throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ciz wants to control but Shui is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shui is looking for a kimura but Ciz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shui to get the leverage. Ciz is looking to control Shui's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ciz avoid being mounted? Ciz desperately trying to maintain half guard. Ciz misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Shui has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ciz trying to hold on to Shui's head to control him but Shui postures up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Shui wants to work for an arm triangle but Ciz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shui working the head and body with strikes. Shui works his way into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Ciz's face as Shui controls the position. Shui throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Ciz works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Ciz is trying to control but can't.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shui seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Shui is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ciz is positioning himself well to prevent Shui advancing to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lin Shui dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ciz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shui is fending him off so far but Ciz persists. Nope, Shui circles away and we're back to standing. Ciz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Shui is looking to improve his position.
Lin Shui overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shui is trying to maintain the position but Ciz is very close to passing his half guard. Ciz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shui keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shui is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ciz wants to take a breather but Shui is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shui tries to roll over but Ciz keeps him under control. Shui taking some punishment here, with Ciz in his half guard. Ciz trying to control from Shui's half guard. Shui has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Ciz slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Shui is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Shui had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ciz defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ciz pushes down on Shui's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ciz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Shui defending well though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ground and pound from Ciz. Ciz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shui doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ciz. Ciz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shui keeps working. Shui wants to get back to full guard.

Shui looking for a sweep. Not yet Shui, not yet. Ciz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ciz advances to half guard. Shui is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ciz can do to turn this around? Ciz landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Shui makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shui. Ciz advances to half guard. Shui is trying to control but can't.
Shui works his way to full guard. Good work. Shui can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ciz controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ciz chips away with some ground and pound. Ciz trying to control but Shui is working from the bottom. Ciz throwing strikes but missing. Shui has momentary wrist control but Ciz slips an elbow through the middle. Shui bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ciz's guard. Ciz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shui manages to get himself to full guard.
Shui had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ciz defends it easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ciz wants to control from the top but Shui keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Ciz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Shui's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Shui fails with a takedown attempt. Shui shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ciz but Ciz pushes him off and we're back to square one. Some wild striking there from Shui.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shui takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

It looked like Shui wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Shui looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Ciz throws a front kick aimed at Shui's knee but Shui avoids it well. A head kick misses from Ciz. Ciz swings for the body but Shui moves out of range.
Shui swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Shui throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Ciz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ciz wants to control from the top but Shui keeps moving. Shui working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ciz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ciz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Shui wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ciz looking to sit in guard and control but Shui gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ciz working a defensive guard here.

Shui distracts Ciz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Shui is looking to work some ground and pound but Ciz has wrist control. Shui looking to sit in guard and control but Ciz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Shui looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shui is pulling down on Ciz's head. It's preventing any offense from Ciz, at least for the moment. Ciz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ciz wants to control from the top but Shui keeps moving. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ciz working his ground and pound in the gym. Ciz lands a couple of digs. Shui bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ciz's guard. Shui is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shui is looking to work some ground and pound but Ciz has wrist control. Ciz trying to keep a closed guard but Shui is proving a slippery customer.
Shui is fighting to break Ciz's control of his arms but Ciz is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ciz wants to sweep but no luck. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ciz trying to control the position.

Everyone knows my opponent here has a very bad habit of testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, so I'm confident this fight will soon be ruled a 'No-Contest.''.

Hollywood ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fredrick moves away. Fredrick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hollywood moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Fabian Hollywood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fredrick fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hollywood to the ground. Fredrick is now in Hollywood's guard. Hollywood not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hollywood throws a lazy right hand but Fredrick sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fredrick doesn't manage to clinch there - Hollywood circles away.

Fredrick lands an elbow inside that Hollywood shrugs off. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hollywood. Fredrick wants the takedown. Hollywood is fighting it off but Fredrick persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hollywood's guard against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hollywood had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fredrick defends it easily.

Hollywood seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Fredrick has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Hollywood is holding Fredrick down, trying to stall. Hollywood is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Fredrick is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Let's hope that Fredrick has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hollywood tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hollywood throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Fredrick has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hollywood is looking to improve his position but Fredrick isn't that keen on the idea. Fredrick looking to control and managing it successfully.

17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Milat! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milat throws a head kick that misses. Jay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Milat manages to avoid it. Jay throws a sloppy head kick and Milat moves out of range easily. Jay looks to score with a jab to the body but Milat is just out of range. Jay has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bonsai Club MMA in the buildup to the fight. Milat clobbers Jay with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jay lands a nice hook to Milat's body. Milat takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jay has managed to clinch.

That took the wind out of him momentarily. Brooks misses with a straight right. Uru throws a quick counter kick to the body but Brooks avoids it. A jab from Brooks does it's job there. Brooks throws a head kick but Uru moves out of range.

25 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, John Pinaglabanan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Ricky Monroe! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinaglabanan shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Pinaglabanan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pinaglabanan taking a breather here. Monroe is looking to regain half guard here but Pinaglabanan keeps moving and retains side control. Monroe on the wrong end of some ground and pound. We've been hearing good reports from Pinaglabanan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Pinaglabanan scores with a couple of short elbows. Pinaglabanan working away diligently from side control. And that's the end of the fight! Shovel Knight comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Knight has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Qasi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Emelienko tries to work over Qasi's front leg with a kick but Qasi checks it. Qasi throws a lazy right hand but Emelienko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
