The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Shaw does no damage. Shaw throws a head kick that misses. Take takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Take uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shaw.
Shaw cracks Take with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Shaw clinches. Shaw takes a knee to the side of the body. Take misses with the head strike.
Take digs a right hand underneath Shaw's ribcage. Shaw let out a lung full of air as it connected. Take blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Take misses with a short punch on the inside. A head punch blocked on the inside by Shaw. Take misses with the head strike.
A shot in the inside from Shaw. Take lands a hook that snaps the head of Shaw backwards. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shaw swings away with an uppercut that misses.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mudgett slips a jab from Gullion. Mudgett thuds his shin into the meat of Gullion's side. A head kick misses from Gullion. Some wild striking there from Mudgett.

Gullion throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Gullion misses with an attempted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mudgett goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Mudgett looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Olliver Gullion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mudgett throws a nice looking combination but Gullion bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gullion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mudgett scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Mudgett looks to land a combination but Gullion avoids it well. Gullion doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gullion connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Gullion throws a wild body kick that Mudgett sees coming a mile off. Mudgett is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Gullion takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A swing and a miss from Mudgett. Gullion is looking to counter with a body kick.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mudgett takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Mudgett looks like he wants to counter punch here. Mudgett misses with a looping right. Gullion lets loose with a powerful body kick. Mudgett will feel that in the morning. Mudgett darts in and clinches Gullion up against the cage. Gullion pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gullion throws a sloppy head kick and Mudgett moves out of range easily. Gullion swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mudgett feints a jab promting Gullion to slip. Mudgett then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gullion slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Gullion's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mudgett connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gullion scrambles back to his feet. Gullion lands a nice looking body kick. Gullion looks to land a right hand but Mudgett moved out of range. Gullion looks to land a body kick but Mudgett moved away. Gullion tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Mudgett throws a counter combo. Gullion throws a head kick but Mudgett moves out of range.

Saukko ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Drago moves away. Nice defenses there by Saukko. Saukko will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
