The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nakara darts in looking for a takedown but St Pierre gets double underhooks and turns Nakara into the cage.

Nakara scores with a takedown into St Pierre's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Nakara's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ravi Shankoli looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'His spirit was strong, but my intention was to crush him. Psychologically, as well as physically with my boxing. I knew that he would be a willing opponent, and he showed heart, but my soul wanted this more! I feel strongly against animal violence, but in this case taking the hammer to the panda wa'.
