Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Sudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sudo is defended easily by Alvarez.

Sudo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Alvarez sprawls well initially but Sudo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Alvarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sudo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alvarez has hold of Sudo's hands but Sudo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Alvarez is trying to maintain the position but Sudo is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Sudo lands a nice short elbow.

Sudo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Alvarez is still in real trouble! Can Sudo finish him?
Sudo lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Alvarez quite badly. Alvarez pulls Sudo in close trying to recover. Sudo postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Alvarez on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Alvarez doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Sudo!
A relieved looking Dan Sudo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
